  • Kotobukiya surprisingly didn’t have that many Marvel announcements this year: just Ms Marvel and the Spider-Family ArtFX+. But, of course, there were still Marvel figures out and about! Mostly Bishoujo, of course, like Loki & Thor, Spider Gwen, and the amazing Squirrel Girl. Oh, and that ridiculous Deadpool and the less ridiculous but still cool Vision! Check ’em out after the jump.

  • Kotobukiya has brought us quite a few Deadpool figures in the past, but this is definitely the Deadpool to end all Deadpools. As the ‘Super’ in the title might have clued you into! As we saw at their panel, this figure comes with an insane amount of extras. From more weaponry than anyone needs to a fluffy red afro, he’s got it all. But even without all the extras, this is an impressive piece. The pose is super dynamic and the scaffolding base gives a great diorama. I can just picture how amazing this will look on display!

  • The star of Kotobukiya’s Marvel display at NYCC was, of course, Squirrel Girl. But there was much more, including quite a few Bishoujos: Lady Deadpool, Spider Gwen, and Loki & Thor were all out and about. In fact, they had two Spider Gwens: Bishoujo and the new ArtFX+. For the first time ever, I think I might actually like the ArtFX+ better. They had tons of statues out, like the Civil War battle diorama of Captain America and Iron Man (which would look amazing displayed with Hulkbuster). Check them all out in the gallery!

  • We’ve already seen Kotobukiya’s big Marvel-related announcement from their panel (Ms. Marvel Bishoujo!), but they had a ton more news at the event. Including an update on their Spiderverse ArtFX+ line: Agent Venom is sculpted! This is not the final sculpt, as his guns and other details will be changed before the paint, but it’s nice to see some progress. We also have the order the rest will come out (Spider-Man 2099, Carnage, and finally Venom) plus this interesting tidbit: they called this the “first wave” of Spiderverse figures. Which means we should get another set! Who would you like to see in it? We also had a lot of ArtFX updates, like the limited edition black Deadpool and the crazy amount of accessories that will come with their Super Deadpool. There’s an afro, guys. Amazing.

  • Just a few weeks ago we got what amounted to a full preview of Good Smile’s Nendoroid Deadpool, including all of his accessories and extras. So while there are no surprises here, it’s still pretty amazing that they managed to pack so much stuff into this release. The faces alone are enough to sway me–because it’s a swap of eyes and not the whole head, we have a whopping 5 of them (regular, winking, hearts, coy, excited) and I’m assuming you can mix them up too. Then there’s his double swords and the pantsless (but heart-underpant wearing) legs. So many goodies! Nendoroid Deadpool retails for ¥4,800 and is set for a February release. Yes, you can get your Deadpool during the month of love! I hope his release date is the 14th, then you can put him in cute poses while eating chocolate and playing Persona 5. • Sometimes I feel like Wonder Festival should change its name to Nendoroid Festival. We’ve already seen a TON so far tonight: all the boys from Orange Rouge, Kantai Collection, IDOLM@STER, the Li announcement, and the new Link. But there are over 35 more to come. So let’s get right to it! We’ve got a Fate/Stay Night triple threat (Shielder, Caster, & Lancer), MetaKnight, Koutetsujou no Kabaneri, Macross Delta, Mazinger Z, Miku Hatsune, Mahou Tsukai no Yome, Biohazard, Boku no Hero Academia, High School Fleet, Touhou Project, Rockman.exe, Fire Emblem, Deadpool, Suicide Squad, Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!, The King of Fighters (Mai, what a surprise!), Thunderbolt Fantasy, Madoka Magica, Girls und Panzer, Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata, and so much more. We also have the results of the Nendoroid request poll, which is why we got Li and Kiso. We’ll also be getting Edward Elric, Erwin Smith, and (finally) Holo! [via Wonderful Hobby Life]

  • When Nendoroid Deadpool got announced, I think we all had very high hopes. I mean, there’s just so much potential for extras and expressions! We got a surprise full reveal of him (so much with waiting ’till Wonder Festival for all this stuff, huh?) and I think it’s safe to say that expectations are (mostly) met–there’s no tiny food, but ReMent has that aspect covered. Instead we have so very many cute faces. Winking, cutesy, angry, regular, and even heart-eyes. Plus a nice variety of weaponry and some cute boxers (with bonus disgusting scarred legs!). This is definitely a Nendo full of amazing photography potential. [via gsc_enon]

  • Kotobukiya recently released their Lady Deadpool Bishoujo (review), and I have to say, I was not expecting an alternate version of her to pop up! But they always bring at least one recolor/resculpt to San Diego Comic Con and this year it will be Wanda. This version of her has the same basic pose, but with quite a few changes. Most notably, she has a half-unmasked face with the signature Deadpool weirdness (though it looks like the lesions have been tamed down to cuter-looking scars). She’s also got a gyro and a really adorable cloth Kotobukiya tote bag & a SDCC bag. Aww, for all her SDCC figure shopping! She will retail for $74.99 at their booth #2601 during the event. All of her new pieces are interchangeable with the original, so if you have both you can probably come up with some really interesting combos. [via Kotobukiya’s Facebook]

  • Deadpool is all the rage right now, so it’s really no surprise that Kotobukiya chose to loosely coincide the release of their Lady Deadpool Bishoujo with the film being in theaters. Something I didn’t even realize when her release date was first announced! This is probably the slowest a Bishoujo has ever taken to go from announcement to release. I mean, she was teased almost 4 years ago, and we didn’t get the art until winter last year! Talk about a long wait. So was it all worth it? Hit the jump and let’s find out!

  • In a twist that surprises absolutely no one after the success of all of the Avengers Nendoroids and figmas, Good Smile Company and Max Factory have announced a Nendoroid and a figma of the merc with a mouth. With the movie dropping in less than a week I expected this announcement since Deadpool mania is in full swing now. And while the movie may disappoint next week, you can’t really have a figure disappoint so long as it’s on model and you can always create your own adventures! [via WHL4U site and gsc_mamitan]
