  • Miyazawa Model Exhibition is one of those “in-between” events. Nestled right in the middle of Summer WonFest and Fall MegaHobby, it’s a chance for companies to… not really show off much new. Let’s be honest, they save the big stuff for the big event, so we don’t get a ton of news from Miyazawa. But Good Smile Company & co brought, like, literally everything they’re working on (that we know about). Just a TON of stuff. Most of it was things we knew about, but we do have some updates: their lovely Felia is finally painted (and, well, no as pretty as I expected), Nendoroid Sheeda from Fire Emblem is finished, figma Yugi showed up, and basically we got a ton of other paint updates. The star of the show was definitely Mebae Miku: hopefully her orders open soon! [via Akibahobby]

  • The slow speed of the Dog Days Nendoroid line is downright comical. Millhiore was in 2011, while Leonmitchelli and Ricotta were both in 2012. Now, 3 years later… it’s time for another! What even. That’s a hell of a gap. I mean, I love the line (multicolor pastel dog girls?? yes please always) but what is going on here. And can we get more scaled figures out of it? Sadly, Eclair kind of pales in comparison to her companions. There’s no demented pastel Chocobo. There’s no stack of books. Sure, she’s a creamy mint color and has a super cute design, but she has… two swords. And a yelling face. That’s about it, folks. SIGH. But I’m gonna get her anyway, because how else will I get my pastry-dog-girl fix? Orders open tonight! [via Kahotan]

  • Nendoroids. They’re kind of like bunnies now; you put two in a room and bam, you’ve got like a thousand before you know it, and this year’s Wonder Festival was no different. Good Smile Company and it’s umbrella of companies had over 40 new Nendoroids on hand at this show. Remember when it took them like two years to hit 40 Nendoroids? Yeah, it’s been a while… We’ve already shown you the Majora’s Mask 3D Link, Kirby, and Marth and Sheeda from Fire Emblem, but that was certainly nowhere near all that was on hand. We got to finally see the sculpted and painted version of their Stormtrooper, Celty from Durarara! looks great, and a second Mako from Kill la Kill that is utterly adorable. Then we’ve got Oono Akira from Hiscore Girl, Moritomo Nozomi from The Rolling Girls, Alice Cartelet from Kiniro Mosaic, Patchouli Knowledge from Touhou, Angela Balzac from Rakuen Tsuihou: Expelled From Paradise, Kaffu Chino and Tippy from Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?, a Senbonzakura version Kaito, Beni and Koujaku from DRAMAtical Murder, Eclair Martinozzi from Dog Days”, Kazami Kazuki from Grisaia no Kajitsu, Itsuka Kotori from Date A Live, Hoozuki from Hoozuki no Reitetsu, Yuuki Yuuna (who seems to be everywhere this WonFest), Emiya Shirou from Fate Stay/Night Unlimited Blade Works, Umaru from Umaruchan, and Shiren from Shiren 5+. Over in idol land we’ve got three new iDOLM@STER Cinderalla Girls with Shibuya Rin who is painted, Shimamura Uzuki who is sculpted, and Honda Mio who was announced. We’ve also got SIX new Nendoroids from PriPara with Manaka Lala, Minami Mirei, and Houjou Sophie all painted, a sculpt of Toudou Shion, and announcements of Dorothy and Leona West. Phew! There are also three Nendoroid Code figures (seems to be non-poseable Nendoroids?) of Manaka Lala, Minami Mirei, and Houjou Sophie. Then in magical ship girl land, aka Kantai Collection, we only have five new additions: sculpts of Yamato and Ryuujo and announcements of Northern Princess (Leah’s favorite!), Ooyodo, and our bumbling idiot misfit star of the anime, Fubuki. From IS: Infinite Stratos we’re getting some new additions with Laura Bodewig and Charlotte Dunois, who are both quite cute. We also have three new Nendoroids from Touken Ranbu with Mikazuki Munechika sculpted and announcements for Kashuu Kiyomitsu and Kogitsunemaru. We also have a Nendoroid More announcement of cheerleader outfits, which are pretty adorable. That’s a lot of little Nendoroids… [via Wonderful Hobby Life For You]

  • It’s been quite a while since we featured head-swapping fun on the site: in fact, Headswapping Figures part 2 was in last November! And the first a year before that. So I suppose it’s a once-yearly feature, which is like… totally intentional. Yup. This time we’ve got a whole host of amazing figures. Everything from sexy (Belldandy maids, anyone?), to amazing (I want the Millhiore-Kobato mashup in the header so hard), to downright absurd (Eevee as a bodybuilder). There’s a little something for everyone, even Star Wars fans and Kamen Rider aficionados, so check them out after the jump! [via 2chan]

  • There is a lot of new PVC at Wonder Festival, but over half the event is dedicated to garage kits. Lots of garage kits. Rows and rows of endless beautiful resin. We’ve already seen some of the individual kits like Yagyuu Toshiyuki’s Miku, the Pajama Saber, Nyanko Miku, Ultimate Homura, Orbit Miku, Tora Zettai, Elizabeth & Thanatos, Orbit Miku, Labrys and Nanako (phew!) along with the offerings of companies like T’s System and Cerberus Project. But of course there are more kits at the event–a lot more, so many that we could post one every half hour for the week leading up to Wonder Festival and not even be halfway through all the goodies at the event! Like last year, we’ve picked out some of our favorites for you (and by “some” I mean over 60) and compiled a gallery of these beauties. Each image has the name of the circle along with the character, in case you were looking to purchase them! We’ve got some real stunners this time around, and while trends clearly favor Miku like usual we have a lot of Sword Art Online and quite a few Persona figures–including Persona 3‘s Chidori! Check them all out and more in the gallery below. [via Beatless’ Facebook, fg-site, Tinami, Scapula, Seventh Heaven, Morifetaisa, Mamor, Coneckers, Ice-9, Lofter, Snow Cat]

  • What’s this, Leah and Stephen getting a loot post done in a timely fashion? That’s right, we got our last November shipment yesterday and our loot post is all ready to go. Mostly thanks to Stephen having a new computer which has really streamlined the photo process. Anywho, November was a particularly packed month for figures. Seriously, almost as much as September & October together! This is mostly because after some Nendoroid- and figma-light months we ended up getting seemingly a year’s worth of both in one box. Oh AmiAmi, you are the best at box tetris! Hit the jump to check out everything we got.

  • When we first saw this figure at WonFest, I wasn’t entirely thrilled with the sculpt and coloring. She looked, well, unfinished, and I suppose she was because the prototype Mikatan is previewing is a hundred times better than what we saw at the event! Leo’s sculpt is very nicely detailed, especially her top and weapons. Though I can’t help thinking how much space that pose is going to take up! While I do love everything about this figure from the coloring to the gorgeous face, she does look really odd next to Millhi–like they’re not even from the same line! Their poses contrast really oddly to my eyes. But that certainly won’t stop me from ordering her, I rarely display figures in the “correct” sets anyway! Leo is set to go up for order on the 12th. • This was a rather slow week for figure orders, though it contained some long-anticipated ladies! And, yes, it’s only ladies this week. Not a boy in sight, not even in figma form! Well, there actually aren’t any figmas at all. Just kidding, there is a guy who showed up very last minute! A very manly man, and we do also have quite a few Nendoroids, a ton of busty ladies, one loli in a sea of boobs, the goofiest shoe-themed figure I’ve ever seen, and more. So check it all out after the jump!

  • Just a few days ago, Mikatan gave us a sneak peak of Nendoroid Leonmitchelli and her feathered friend. She was first spotted at WonFest, and now she’s ready for orders! Like many new Nendoroids, she comes with an absolute ton of accessories. She’s got three faces (happy, yelling, and a nyan-face), and three weapons (sword, shield, and her battleaxe Granvale). You’ll also get an Emblem Arts effect part along with, of course, her feathered ride Daumas. There are quite a few shots of her with Millhiore, and they look awesome together! I almost forgot that Leo is actually the third Dog Days Nendoroid: Ricotta kind of pales in comparison to all the goodies these two with them. Leo went up for order already, for the steep price of ¥4,500. That bird ride sure costs a lot! She’ll come out in March. I guess companies are finally moving on from February! [via Mikatan]
