@GeekeryDo: @mikeyturvey I agree with you. I stopped reading them because I got tired of it, though @Sir_Narwhal is correct that it's normal for comics.

@GeekeryDo: @Sir_Narwhal @mikeyturvey yeh but that's just one arc and it's easy to read it all since, as you said, it's been put together like that.

@NFern0: @Sir_Narwhal Sounds like (ohoho) specialist equipment. Black Friday is more mass consumer oriented isn't it?

Erick Scarecrow of ESCToy has been trying for years upon years to bring his dreams to the screen in the form of anime, and finally, he’s gotten the chance — his 9 Deadly Killer Pussies Kickstarter is now live! In cooperation with Asahi Production, together they’re trying to reach a goal of $159,999 to produce 20 minutes of animation. The show revolves around 9 people who are randomly given shape shifting powers to turn into cats via an ancient stone in the hopes of battling zombies. The show sounds like a whole bunch of fun and hopefully it can get funded. If you want to help them out, you can pledge $9 to $9,999 or more with various items being offered for each level as well from plushes to resin figures and even the ability to have your own cat put into the show. Head on over to Kickstarter to help them out so that this East meets West anime can come to fruition; there’s only 21 days left!

Way back at NYCC we showed you a whole bunch of new figures from ESCToy set to be released over the next year or so and Zone 6 was one of those pieces. This post-apocalyptic hyper-detailed piece features what appears to be some sort of skeleton warrior, Zone 6, and his minion, the Nasty Companion. I love the mix of the eastern and western design styles in this piece and if you do too, you can head on over to the ESCToy store and add this pair to your collection for $150. Act fast though, there’s only 10 of these guys out there to terrorize your collection!

Well, it’s that time again, ESCToy has offered up some new releases and they’re both quite green this time! First up is the new Crow Crow Bear Mod featuring a green on green colorway and is the latest of the Crow Crow Bear figures. This run of 26 pieces is up for sale now in the ESCToy webstore for $75.00 each with $8.00 shipping within the United States. Personally, as much as I love Crow Crow Bear, I’m on the fence with this release as I’m not really a fan of the greens used here, but it does seem to match well with the NYCC green Yarn Shroom, so it may wind up in my collection for that alone.
Next up is the now low-stock Chap Lynn Ghoul colorway of the Chap Lynn figure, which is quite spooky! Standing at 8″ tall, this 11-piece-run-figure seems quite fitting with the recent “start of the zombie apocalypse” that has been happening lately and the greens and purples look great together. If you want to terrorize the other figures in your collection, you can also grab Chap Lynn Ghoul from the ESCToy webstore.
What do you readers think about these latest releases? Are either of these must owns for you or are you holding out for different colorways? Let us know in the comments!

ESCToy’s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Misfortune Nathan Drake figures have been up for order for a while and we’ve shown you a lot of pictures of them from their original unveiling to a gallery of them from NYCC and now we have a lot of funky new colors for them! Following up the Scarecrow Blue colorway of Black Friday come the Silver, Limon, and Neo-Tokyo editions of this awesome vinyl figure! First up is the edition of 5 Silver Drake figure, which is quite shiny and awesome! Each of these bad boys retails for $400 with $1 shipping and there are currently two left in the ESCToy webstore, so act fast if you want one!
That’s not all though, the Limon Drake figure, limited to 15 pieces, is also available for $250 with $1 shipping in the ESCToy webstore. This yellow-green colorway is quite unique and interesting looking and I love that it is one solid color; it looks like a prototype! Last, but not least, is the custom painted 1 off Neo-Tokyo Drake, which is already out of stock. I love the crazy purple and red color scheme here and wish that this figure were actually put in production, but sadly it never will be. With all of these, be on the lookout for golden coins inside your box for the chance to win special prints from Erick Scarecrow as well and may Drake’s Misfortune turn into your good fortune!
Also, while we’re on the topic of Drakes, an all purple colorway recently popped up on Erick Scarecrow’s blog as well along with a picture of Nathan’s voice actor, Nolan North, playing with the Drake figures! No word yet on that purple colorway, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted as info becomes available! Have any of you readers picked up any colorways yet or are there any that you’d like to see made? Let us know in the comments below!

The other day we showed you the future of ESCToy with their amazing collaboration with Eno that should be out towards the end of 2012, but today they’re taking a step back into the archives and releasing the AP versions of a figure from last decade (ok, I know, it’s only 3 years ago, but still, it’s too hard not to take the opportunity to make that joke)! The Chelly Chainsaw Kage AP figures are now up in the ESCToy shop and are some of the hardest figures created by ESCToy to get. Originally released in January 2009, these sleek black and pink figures can now be yours, but don’t wait too long as this will be your last opportunity forever to get your hands on one! If you want one, head on over to the ESCToy webstore where you can pick up an awesome Chelly Chainsaw Kage version for $600 — I know I would if I could!

It’s been quite some time since we’ve posted an Erick Scarecrow piece here at Plastikitty due to a bunch of technical issues over the last few months, but now that those have been fixed and we’re back to our regularly scheduled programming, I can’t think of a better piece to come back with than this collaboration between ESCToy and Eno dubbed Zone 6. This stunning piece features work by both Erick Scarecrow and Eno of Japanese store Tomenosuke and is currently slated to be released at the end of 2012.
While not a whole lot can be seen here, what can be seen is the amount of detail that is being poured into this sculpt. As someone who loves PVC for the amount of intricacies and much higher level of sculpting that can be portrayed, I’m glad to see that resin and vinyl artists are starting to move this way as well as it just really is in a whole other ballpark than the standard platform toy fare that has been played out over the last few years. So, what do you readers think? Are you excited to see more resin and vinyl pieces that are much more intricate or are you a fan of simplicity? Either way, we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on this great piece as it gets completed over the coming months.

Way back before NYCC we showed you a teaser of ESCToy’s main Black Friday release, Armora, and at NYCC we got a full look at the two pieces together. Now that all of the turkey and stuffing have been eaten and we’ve all shown our thanks, Erick Scarecrow and ESCToy are thanking all of their loyal fans over the last six years with three new releases! First up is the large Armora & Dragovo set which stand in at a whopping 18″ tall and 7″ tall and take up almost an entire display case shelf by themselves! This stunning set is limited to 15 pieces and will retail for $600.00 and comes with $1.00 shipping in the U.S.
Next up is my favorite of the releases, Crow Crow Bear Twilight Edition! When I first saw this figure back at NYCC, I knew I had to have one; the blues, yellows, and oranges are just so gorgeous in the clear resin and I can’t have enough of Crow Crow Bear! If you’re like me and need to add this little 6.5″ figure to your collection, he’ll be a run of 25 pieces and retail for $75.00 with $12.00 shipping within the U.S. Last, but not least, is the Scarecrow Blue Nathan Drake figure. This colorway is limited to 100 pieces and will retail for $49.99 with $15.00 shipping inside the U.S. only — sorry international folks, this guy can’t leave the border! This piece will also include limited DLC for Uncharted 3, so if you want the special DLC be sure to act fast because there aren’t many of these beautiful blue little guys!
Well, that’s it for this year! Armora & Dragovo, Crow Crow Bear Twilight, and the Scarecrow Blue Drake are all hitting the ESCToy webstore at 12 am EST in a little under half an hour, so good luck to all and congratulations to ESCToy for making it to six years!

The other day an interesting piece of art hit my inbox from Erick Scarecrow and not much was said about it. All that was told was that it will be a print that will come with the Old School Kaiju Bloody Dizigin colorway that is a collaboration with Monster Kolor, which we showed you back at NYCC, and that it is designed by Yajima. The only other bit of information was that this piece and print will be releasing in early 2012, but what I’m most curious about is the art style here and the inclusion of Yajima as the artist. Is this hinting at something bigger coming to us next year such as an anime or manga? Who knows! But we’ll be sure to keep you updated on any and all possibilities and in the mean time let us know in the comments what you think about a U.S. artist potentially entering the anime scene.

The other day we showed you about the new pink Mermadi release from ESCToy, but that’s not all that’s happening in the world of Erick Scarecrow currently! Today we received an e-mail with a few other new pieces that are on the horizon from this toymaker as well including more information about the Uncharted 3 Drake figures as well as a new colorway of Pinnola!
First up is the new colorway of Pinnola, which is the OG release and is in a pink, yellow, and orange colorway. Like the pink Mermadi, we saw this back at NYCC, and now, a short time later, we have its release upon us. This OG edition will be a run of 20 pieces and this 6.5″ figure will retail for $135.00 with $10 shipping within the United States. If you need a new puppet girl for your collection, Pinnola will be releasing on November 18th, 2011 on the ESCToy webshop, so act fast before she becomes a real girl and runs away with someone else!
Next up is the secret pink Mermadi release, which –SURPRISE– is now available! This all pink colorway that is an edition of 5 is now available on the ESCToy webstore for $300 each and is one gorgeous colorway. Speaking of gorgeous colorways is the final bit of info from this latest e-mail: the Scarecrow Blue Nathan Drake figure from Uncharted 3 is almost ready for release! This all blue colorway will be available immediately upon release in late November, so keep your eyes out for it, and don’t forget to pre-order the OG or Naughty Dog colorways now as well as they come with DLC for the game and are quite stunning in person to boot!
Well, that’s it for this week! I can’t wait to see what’s next from ESCToy and let us know what you like that you see here in the comments below.
