Figures don’t usually make a huge appearance, but a few good things sneak in from the companies that make kits (i.e. Kotobukiya and Wave). And surprisingly, most of it was new! We got the first colored image of Kotobukiya’s gorgeous Yui Takamura from Muv-Luv, but aside from that it was brand-spanking-new items.

One of the best announcements is that Kotobukiya will be adding Ika Musume to their kit line inspired by Hoi-Hoi-san. She looks adorable here, and having just built the Saber-san kit (which we will have a review of soon!) I can safely say that she’ll be very well-made.

Then we have a ton of Beach Queen announcements from Wave. Infinite Stratos got three new additions: Cecilia Alcott, Charlotte Dunois, and Fang Lin Yen. I’m not a huge fan of the IS designs, but Fang looks adorable and the outfits look quite nice on all 3. Then we saw the second A Channel Beach Queen, Yuuko, who (amazingly) is as busty as the IS girls! They also had announcements without sculpts for tons of new figures: Minko, Yuina and Nako from Hanasaku Iroha, Chiriko from AnoHana, and 2 different versions of Himari from Mawaru Penguindrum. Two? Well, one of them is labeled the “Princess of Crystal” version, though I have no clue what that means!

Wave also had one more trick up their sleeve: a model kit car that comes with two figures! So it’s a kit and a scaled figure set, all rolled up into one. The best news? It’s a NERV car from Evangelion, and we’re getting a tiny Asuka and *drumroll* MISATO! You know what the world needs? A lot more figures of Misato.

[via Hobby Stock]
