So we know that Volks is doing a collaboration with Type-Moon for their 10th anniversary, and that it will include the brand-new Saber Extra as well as a second version of Saber Alter. We also know that it will be a web project with an open pre-order period, and that Volks USA is participating. But so far, we’re missing one very important piece of information–the pricing! For doll buyers, the price could mean the difference between getting both or getting just one, so the community has been waiting with bated breath.
Well, the site has just updated with the information, and both dolls are surprisingly affordable! Saber Extra will retail for ¥69,000 and Saber Alter will be ¥59,000. I’m expecting the US prices to be a bit over $700 for Extra and around $600 for Alter. We also have information about the body type they will be using, and no one should be surprised that it is the DDIII! Saber Alter will have an M bust, but Extra will have an L, making her the first of 4 Sabers to be busty! Saber Alter is also using the original Saber headmold, though no word if she will have updated faceup. Saber Extra also might be using the same headmold, though it really seems like they should do something new for her. I’d really like to see them do a new fierce one, or at least use the updated Lily face!
They also announced pricing on the outfits we saw for Saber Alter. The jogging/track suit will be ¥8,800 and the swimsuit is ¥2,800. And if that wasn’t enough, it seems like Saber Extra will come with 2 sets of eyes–I am guessing normal and her “crazy” eyes. It looks like we are getting closer and closer to actual pictures of these girls, as well as an order date!
