Winter Wonder Festival 2013: Alter’s Sabers

Alter sure does love their Sabers. It seems like they have endless variations of her at every event, and we’ve got two at Wonder Festival. Well, technically we got to July as soon as possible. AmiAmi decided to combine half of our July with our August stuff–the end of August to boot, so we had to wait a whole month for some of these beauties! Of course, we’re never really in a huge rush to get figures–we prefer to get them in small batches, so I can open one at a time and admire them all individually. So who did we get in our July order? She was available at a reasonable price when I started out, but I wasn’t really deep into the PVC world and focused more on vinyl so I skipped over her due to the price. I also passed up Alter’s limited Yukiko for $97, which says a lot about my PVC toy judgement at that point!

So when we found out in magazine scans that she would be getting a re-release, I was ecstatic! We’re also getting the matching normal Saber Maid, who is already up for order, but Alter is a release limited to Hobby Channel. She retails for ¥8,000, an amazing price for a 1/6 scale figure, and I can’t believe they kept her original pricing! Orders are open until March 31st and will be released in July, though I expect most proxies will sell out far before the end of March due to how coveted this figure is. Orders aren’t open at the regular places yet, but we’ll update when she is available!
