ESCToy’s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Misfortune Nathan Drake figures have been up for order for a while and we’ve shown you a lot of pictures of them from their original unveiling to a gallery of them from NYCC and now we have a lot of funky new colors for them! Following up the Scarecrow Blue colorway of Black Friday come the Silver, Limon, and Neo-Tokyo editions of this awesome vinyl figure! First up is the edition of 5 Silver Drake figure, which is quite shiny and awesome! Each of these bad boys retails for $400 with $1 shipping and there are currently two left in the ESCToy webstore, so act fast if you want one!
That’s not all though, the Limon Drake figure, limited to 15 pieces, is also available for $250 with $1 shipping in the ESCToy webstore. This yellow-green colorway is quite unique and interesting looking and I love that it is one solid color; it looks like a prototype! Last, but not least, is the custom painted 1 off Neo-Tokyo Drake, which is already out of stock. I love the crazy purple and red color scheme here and wish that this figure were actually put in production, but sadly it never will be. With all of these, be on the lookout for golden coins inside your box for the chance to win special prints from Erick Scarecrow as well and may Drake’s Misfortune turn into your good fortune!
Also, while we’re on the topic of Drakes, an all purple colorway recently popped up on Erick Scarecrow’s blog as well along with a picture of Nathan’s voice actor, Nolan North, playing with the Drake figures! No word yet on that purple colorway, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted as info becomes available! Have any of you readers picked up any colorways yet or are there any that you’d like to see made? Let us know in the comments below!

Every time I swear off Pureneemos, Azone’s line of 1/6 dolls, they go and make something like this that I can’t resist! In an unexpected move they have made a Caster from Fate/Extra, a character that’s pretty hard to put in doll-form. They’ve done a very nice job though, rendering her tail & ears in PVC instead of fur so they hold their shape. The face is also really cute and quite accurate to her design.
She is sadly an exclusive to Hobby Channel & Hobby Japan, so she’ll end up costing a lot more than her already-high retail of ¥13,650. Orders open on the 24th and will close on May 10th, with release scheduled for September. Thankfully she is on their large body, putting her at about 11″ tall, and it seems like they’ve added a larger bust as well!

The reveal of Nendoroid Yukiko at Wonder Festival was a bit of a surprise, and in an even more shocking move Good Smile Company actually has her finished before 99% of the Nendoroids we saw there! It seems like they probably had their Persona 4 Nendoroid and figma lines done for a while, but saved the big reveal for the event–while on one hand it’s great that fans are getting so much merchandise, the sudden rush is starting to feel a bit like overkill. Probably because there’s so little variety–Yukiko has tons of outfits, yet every single one to come out so far is in the winter school uniform. Hopefully the Beach Queen won’t be wearing that as well!
Complaints aside, this Nendo is looking great. Yukiko comes with the expressions you’d expect: a stoic face, a slightly smiling face, and a laughing-so-hard-she-might-explode face. She also comes with a pair of Teddie’s joke glasses, regular glasses, and a fan. This is pretty much everything you’d think she would come with, though I am a little disappointed she doesn’t have a bowl of instant udon–fried tofu flavor, of course! However, this is easily fixed with some ReMent. Yukiko will be going up for order on the 21st! I’m really hoping that we get more MegaTen Nendoroids, but for now Jack Frost and Yukiko should be enough to tide over fans.

Kotobukiya has been teasing their Bishoujo Alisa Bosconovitch from Tekken for quite some time: we first saw her at SDCC along with Christie, and an alternate colorway was shown off in art-form at NYCC. But still, she wasn’t sculpted! However, that’s changed now, as her sculpt was just revealed! She looks amazing, and the sculpting seems to be even higher quality than the usual Bishoujo figure. I love the detail they put into her outfit, and I think this might be my favorite of all of the Bishoujos so far. I can’t wait to see her with a coat of paint!

Back at Wonder Festival, Ques Q teased that they would be doing a figure of Yukari Yakumo from Touhou Project in her white dress–which is a bit unusual, as all 3 previous PVC figures of her were in her purple garb! Yukari is one of my very-favorite Touhou characters, so I am thrilled to see a company doing a different take on her.
Kerorin has started showing off the raw sculpt, and it’s, well, amazing! The details in the clothing are gorgeous, and I can’t wait to see her with a coat of paint. She also comes with two different hair options–her standard long, flowing locks and a cute updo. The base is also very interesting, and it seems to match the Yukari Kerorin did for Kotobukiya. Ques Q’s figures tend to be simple but very well executed, and at 1/8 scale Yukari should cost around ¥7,600.

Ever since Bandai put their Izanagi D-Arts up for order, people have been praying for a continuation of the line. And while it seemed likely, everyone assumed that because of the current popularity of Persona 4, we’d be getting more from that game. Well, Bandai has proved us all fools and next in line is Thanatos, from Persona 3!
Thanatos is one of my favorite personas and I was really hoping for a figure of him, so I am thrilled at this announcement. We have next to no info about him at this point, just that he is part of the poseable D-Arts line and that we should be seeing a prototype before the end of the year. So what do you guys think about this announcement, and what other personas would you like to see added to the line?

One of Kotobukiya’s biggest surprises at San Diego Comic Con was quite large in size as well – it took up an entire display case for itself! Yoshimitsu from the Tekken line of video games was shown off in statue form as the newest addition to Kotobukiya’s fine art statue line sculpted by Takeya Takayuki. Yoshimitsu was shown off in two different statues, one, the painted one, to show off his color scheme and paint detail, and another, unpainted, to show off the actual final sculpt, which is much more detailed. Yoshimitsu here is sporting his Tekken Tag Tournament 2 outfit much like Christie in the bishoujo line and really looks quite great. The amount of detail in the sculpt is quite amazing and I can’t wait to see the final painted figure as he is most certainly a must own. Yoshimitsu currently has no price and is slated for a 2nd quarter 2012 release and be sure to stay tuned to Plastikitty for more on his release in the coming months.
