  • Back at Winter Wonder Festival we found out that MegaHouse would be producing a figure of Yato from Noragami, one of the best shows of the winter season, and now, at Summer Wonder Festival we have his full sculpt! I’m glad they didn’t go with the standing around pose as seen in the first art as the floating is much more dynamic and interesting and also fits the character, as well as the tone of the show, much better. I know I’ll be snatching a Yato up for myself, and I hope lots of others do too so that we can get the rest of the cast and a potential anime season 2! [via Akiba Hobby]

  • Jump Festa is one of many excuses for MegaHouse to show off their male figures. Sometimes I think they make up events just to show off buff guys, and the occasional scantily clad girl thrown in there. They seem to have an endless supply of dudes, much to the delight of their many fans. And oh man did they bring the goods to Jump Festa 2014. Bandai jumped (haha, get it? JUMPED?) in too with some goodies of their own for even more manly man-ness. We’ve got all the usual suspects: Tiger & Bunny, One Piece (Rebecca, Trafalgar Law, Red-Haired Shanks, Baby 5, Kaku, & more!), Gintama (Tsukuyo, Gintoki Sakata, Okita Sougo), and Kuroko no Basket (Taiga Kagami, Daiki Aomine, Shintarou Midorima). Oh, and there’s a new Naruto G.E.M: Kakashi! Wait… don’t they already have 2 figures of him? What about Sakura? Itachi? Anyone other than Kakashi?! [via Hobbylog]

  • Whoo, scans. Pardon my lack of enthusiasm, but the week leading up to Wonder Festival always has me dreading scans. It means extra features (garage kit roundup and wishlist) on top of, well, the event coverage and we have three reviews to work on this week! So when I remembered scans were tonight I nearly cried. For real, ask Stephen. So, let’s just dive right in. Wow, such figures! So PVC! Wowwwww! Maybe I’ll just do every post in Shibe…

  • MegaHouse’s GEM line is pretty much the leading force in male figures, considering how hard the POPs are to get and how damn slow Altair is. They showed off 4 of their newer additions at Jump Festa, 3 of which we already knew about. We got to see Gintama‘s Kamui, Tiger & Bunny‘s Kaburagi T. Kotetsu and Makoto Shishio from Ruroni Kenshin is now painted! The new figure is Rin Okumura from Aoi no Exorcist and his cute kitty Kuro! While the guy isn’t that interesting in terms of design, oh my goodness do I like the cat! The sculpts on all of these male figures seem like they will live up to the standard of the line, and hopefully we’ll see them up for order in the near future. [via Hobbystock]
