The main Hyakka Ryouran line has been in the works for a LONG time: the first release was way back in October of 2009. Well, three years later we’re getting the release of the 7th girl in Alter’s lineup, who is also the second to last: only Charles is left! Yagyu Gisen will actually be released exactly three years after Yagyu Jubei barring any delays, as she’s an October release with a retail price of ¥7800.
They went with a simpler pose here, but I’ve been really looking forward to her ever since the sculpt popped up in magazine scans. The detail on Gisen is pretty spectacular: just look at the pattern on her tights, gloves and swords! The scissor swords will be poseable, and you can also remove her eyepatch to reveal some delicious heterochromia. Orders should open on the 13th, and at this rate I suspect we’ll see the last Hyakka release around March (not counting the swimsuit girls–I wouldn’t be surprised if Alter did ALL of them). It’s been a long road, but all of the figures in it have been so amazing–I’m sure Gisen will be no different.
