I mean THAT POSE. And based on the poster, I think we are definitely getting Gotou to go along with him. Launching off the success of the Persona 4 animation and game trio, figure manufacturers have been pushing headlong into the entire MegaTen franchise. Sure, we’ve gotten a handful of figures in the past, but now there’s a flood! And, happily, it’s not all Persona. In fact, the awesome Raidou Kuzunoha from the Devil Summoner line of games is getting quite a bit of attention–first the MegaHouse figure, and now Bandai is doing a D-Arts of him!

Raidou looks as badass as you’d guess he would, and you can even pull his hat down low enough to cover his eyes. And while Bandai usually likes to skimp on accessories, Raidou comes with quite a few bits of weaponry and effect parts, and even his loyal companion Gotou! All for ¥4200 with a June release. Now if only Good Smile would pick up that Nendoroid kit…

[via Tamashii Nations]

Bandai Gives Raidou Kuzunoha A Spectacular D-Arts

They were all terribly busty girls with no thighs, hips or butts. Now it seems the tides have turned, and the figure-world is all about giving their ladies a little junk in their trunk. In fact, there’s a huge rise in the amount of realistically-built women out there, which I think says a lot about the market–we don’t want skinny girls with melon boobs! So, in honor of the rise of the buttocks, we’re here to celebrate the best (and also the most disappointing) behinds of 2011.

Who is it, you ask? It’s… butt-girl! Oh wait, no, it’s Gotou Matabei. An easy enough mistake to make, I think!

About a year ago, after I got Senhime, I was looking through the art for the remaining 4 Hyakka girls. Naoe and Charles struck me as the best of the remaining designs, and Gotou was my least favorite. Her figure, too, didn’t pique my interest that much. It was a basic pose and the color palette wasn’t that exciting. We ordered her anyway, for the sake of completion, and I was hoping that my opinion would change as soon as I got her. So did it, or was Gotou a very expensive disappointment? Hit the jump to find out!
