A delay of one or two months isn’t a big deal, but we’ve recently seen stuff pushed back 3 or 4! Now it’s Orchid Seed’s turn–while they are known for delays, I can’t recall one this large in a long time. Their amazing Eternal Winter Ignis was originally slated for October, and now… she’s January. 2013. I was really looking forward to getting her this year, but as always I’d rather wait for a superior product than get a lackluster figure now.

I mean, who would expect a recolor from Orchid Seed! What’s next, a red version?! Okay, so it wasn’t a surprise to anyone. (NSFW) Orchid Seed’s Eternal Night Ignis

In last month’s magazine scans, Orchid Seed made a shocking announcement: they were planning a second colorway of their popular Ignis of the Eternal Winter. [UPDATE] Updated with better pics–Orchid had really started to sell me on this colorway!

Of course there are also new sculpts and new colored figures as well, so hit the jump to check them all out!

We should really call her Ignis of the Endless Teasers, since we’ve seen a whole lot of her recently. Now, though, it’s time for pre-orders. She ain’t gonna come cheap: this 1/7 scale figure retails for a whopping ¥12,400. She comes out in October so at least you have a while to save up. Personally I think this is a tad overpriced even given her details. That said, there is no way I am missing out on her!

The details are just spectacular, and she is somehow nearly fully cast-off, keeping just her (very skimpy) panties. I love that they’ve kept her fuller figure: she’s idealized for sure, but looks more “real” than many other anime girls. Pre-orders should open only a few hours from now, so keep your eyes open and wallets ready!

[via Orchid Seed]

Well guess what? She’s STILL NOT FINISHED. It seems they are (hopefully) putting on the finishing touches: tattoos and a choker. But it looks like the prototype still isn’t even painted, so I presume we still have a bit of a wait before we add this beauty to our ordered lists. It’s not unusual to see 2 or even 3 year gaps between art being shown off and the figure hitting shelves, and it’s certainly not helped by the massive figure backlog they have–over 30 figures are currently in the pre-release phase, with about 2/3rds of those only as art!

One of their most anticipated figures is Ignis of the Endless Winter, which has been in limbo forever.
