Iori Minase Archive

  • It’s been a while since we had a pre-order Dollfie! We had Snow Miku in January of last year, but she actually just shipped out and I got mine only 2 weeks ago. Volks is so slow, but worth it. Well, they’ve just announced the newest pre-order project and it’s IDOLM@STER! And 3 dolls instead of 2. First up are Iori and Yayoi, who will be on the new Dollfie Dream Pretty bodies which are between a DDS and MDD. Yayoi is usually one of my least-favorite girls but I am so smitten with her face! Each of them retail for ¥60,000. Then we have Anastasia from Cinderella Girls, who will be on a Dollfie Dream Sister body. She has a face shape I usually love, and while I do like her I think the pronounced lashes are a little odd–but they look so lovely in some shots! Hard to tell what she’ll look like with a different wig and outift, though Volks always gives us a few pictures like that as orders open. Anastasia comes in at a bit more at ¥68,000. And of course, all 3 of them have alternate outfits! Orders open up on October 8th and run until December 4th, and they won’t be out until fall of 2017 (so expect about a year’s wait). Sure, it’s a long time, but with something this pricey it’s great to have so much time to save up. [via Volks]

  • Good Smile Company & co have really been putting out some amazing figures from IDOLM@STER in the past few months, seemingly putting MegaHouse’s years of work on the franchise to shame. We have Rin and Uzuki from Good Smile, and then Phat!’s beyond perfect Hibiki–it seems like they’re finally ready to paint one of the IDOLM@S sculpts they had at Wonder Festival, Iori Minase! I don’t even know if I can handle the cuteness of this figure. I mean, everything is just so precious! I feel like a grandma saying that, but it’s true. The pose, her adorably squishable cheeks, the ruffles and pink everywhere, the bunny! I’m too excited! She goes up for order tonight and will be released in April (thanks, Will ^^). • You know, we’ve been really up to date with our loot posts recently, getting them done right after boxes come in. Well, technically we got to July as soon as possible. AmiAmi decided to combine half of our July with our August stuff–the end of August to boot, so we had to wait a whole month for some of these beauties! Of course, we’re never really in a huge rush to get figures–we prefer to get them in small batches, so I can open one at a time and admire them all individually. So who did we get in our July order? Hit the jump to find out!

  • Welcome to another month of wacky magazine scans. This time we’ve got some very bad cellphone pics, but mixed in with higher quality scans that went up at the same time! Oh Japan, you’re so silly. This month we’ve got quite a few things, which is surprising given that WonFest was only a short while ago. You’d think companies would have nothing new left! Well we do have a lot of Nendoroids we already knew about along with recolors and re-releases, but there are some new goodies as well. Hit the jump to check them all out! [UPDATE] Updated with the rest of the scans! [UPDATE #2] Updated with a few stray scans, including MegaHouse’s Rider!

  • The week after Wonder Festival we really don’t see that many releases from companies. In fact, they’re usually so busy moving stuff back and resting up that this week would be a “dead week” with only a few figures going up for order. Well, we’re not exactly bursting at the seams with them, but we do have enough for a roundup! And some very nice ones at that, including (finally) another one of Alter’s Witches, Meat from Good Smile Company, and a really big bunny girl. So hit the jump to check them all out!

  • June will be forever remembered as the month of Persona. While we got a lot of figures this month (a surprising amount, given how it was cheaper than most months!), we had nine (9!) Persona-related figure purchases. Of course there were a few characters not from the MegaTen universe… just a few. So hit the jump to check them out!

  • Wave sure loves their Beach Queen line, and no franchise has gotten more entries in it than Idolm@ster. We’ve seen almost all the characters in BQ form, but of course you can never have enough tiny idols. They’ve just announced a ton of new additions: Iori Minase and Yayoi Takatsuki who are both sculpted, and then a few who are just art: Ritsuko Akizuki, Makoto Kikuchi, and Yukiho Hagiwara. Beach Queens are kind of hit-or-miss once they are painted, but hopefully these 5 end up as cute as the characters! [via Koji Nagami’s Twitter]

  • The first set of Idolm@ster 2 Petit Nendoroids, dubbed “Stage 1” was painfully adorable, and it was announced that Good Smile Company would be following it up with a Stage 2. Well lo and behold, here it is! Like the previous set, we get 6 girls: Yukiho Hagiwara, Miki Hoshii, Iori Minase, Hibiki Ganaha, Azusa Miura, and Ami Futami. Unless I am very much mistaken, this is the more popular group of girls: in fact, of the 5 MegaHouse has picked for figures, 4 of them are in this set! My favorites are here too: Miki and Azusa. They do look great, and like the previous set I feel like it will be a lot of fun to have some head-swaps! Fate/Hollow ataraxia glam band, anyone? [via GSC_GUMA’s Twitter]

  • Welcome, Plastikitties, to the shortest PVC Pre-Order Roundup in our (admittedly brief) history! We have a whopping nine figures this week. Most likely this is because of Wonder Festival preparations, and most companies are too busy getting new samples ready to do promotional shots. Of course we’ll be doing coverage of figures at WonFest as they appear, but for now it’s time to talk about things you can actually buy. We still have some good figures here, so let’s hit the jump to get started!

  • MegaHouse sure does love the Idolm@ster series, and they did versions of almost all the girls from the first one. Now they’re onto Idolm@ster 2, with Haruka and Miki up for order so far. Iori is the next girl to get the Brilliant Stage treatment, and we first saw her back in November. She popped up painted in this month’s magazine scans, which usually means that orders will follow shortly. Iori is in a different outfit than the first two, but after seeing the finished version I definitely agree with the decision. Her look is wonderfully retro, and like most MegaHouse figures she has quite a few display options. She comes with both nyan hands and a set where she’s flipping her hair back. You can also have her hold an adorable stuffed bunny and her hat is removable. That gives you tons of different ways to show her off! She is 1/7 scale, retails for ¥7,200 and comes out in June, and orders should go up this week [via Dengeki]
