MegaHobby Expo is like a smaller, toned-down version of Wonder Festival. However, there are always some goodies, usually courtesy of the event’s main company, MegaHouse. This year they have 5 items they’ll be offering up! The first is a Scarlet Sprite version of their 1/7 Haruka Amami, which will retail for ¥7,000. There will also be a red and white colorway of the Pirate Captain Liliana, priced at ¥8,000: she even comes with a special art card! Neither of these really does it for me: Haruka is Christmas colored and Liliana… well, I like the pink & black a lot better. Seeing as how I have the original versions of both of these figures, there’s no real draw here for me.
The chibi sets are a totally different story though! There’s a set of 3 Tiger & Bunny figures for ¥1,500 featuring Kaburagi T. Kotetsu and two versions of Wild Tiger. Then we have a chibi set of Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi for ¥1,000 that I might kill people to own. And to top it off, a set of two Persona 4 keychains: the MC and Izanagi! These are special colorways, with the MC in white and Izanagi with a gold & red color combo that’s quite similar to Magatsu Izanagi.
All of the exclusives will be both at the event and available afterwards as mail-order items. Which means if you’re really dying for one and you don’t live in Japan, they should be available at proxies. Mini Madoka set, you will be mine!
