Taito has been a savior to Persona fans recently with their expansive Persona 4 Arena prize figure line, especially after MegaHouse’s “hey all the characters you want will be exclusive!” bullshit. So far they have released almost all of the main characters, it’s really just Mitsuru and Akihiko left (who will almost certainly join it eventually). Oh, and Labrys! But of course the question is, can Taito deliver?
Well Izanagi, the first in the series along with Aegis who will be out in March, just got released so we get to take a peek at the final product! Of course the paint is not perfect, but this is a prize figure after all. For $15 he looks pretty damn amazing! No major messups, and the pose looks fantastic. I can’t wait for mine!

However, there are always some goodies, usually courtesy of the event’s main company, MegaHouse. This year they have 5 items they’ll be offering up! The first is a Scarlet Sprite version of their 1/7 Haruka Amami, which will retail for ¥7,000. There will also be a red and white colorway of the Pirate Captain Liliana, priced at ¥8,000: she even comes with a special art card! Neither of these really does it for me: Haruka is Christmas colored and Liliana… well, I like the pink & black a lot better. Seeing as how I have the original versions of both of these figures, there’s no real draw here for me.</p> <p>The chibi sets are a totally different story though! There’s a set of 3 <em>Tiger & Bunny</em> figures for ¥1,500 featuring Kaburagi T. Kotetsu and two versions of Wild Tiger. Then we have a chibi set of Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi for ¥1,000 that I might kill people to own. And to top it off, a set of two <em>Persona 4</em> keychains: the MC and Izanagi!
