Jeanne d’Arc Archive

  • I always have very strong opinions about Alter’s event displays. Usually their Wonder Festival lineups disappoint me, because they save all the good stuff for MegaHobby. But not in 2018! We have a really killer batch of figures from my favorite manufacturer. Many of them are what you’d expect: we have quite a few Fate/Stay Night figures (including the gorgeous header Saber, a reclining Mash Kyrielight, the sculpt for Edmond Dantes, and their absolutely epic Jeanne d’Arc Alter), finally the painted Okoi, an IDOLM@STER announcement (Asuka Ninomiya), and two To LOVEru cuties (Haruna once again and a lingerie Momo). But of course there were surprises as well! Like the elaborate bunnygirl version of Narberal Gamma from Overlord II, and some from-left-field announcements like Vampire from Azur Lane and Teletha Testarossa from Full Metal Panic! I know some people have been waiting a LONG time for Panic figures. Check out all of them and more after the jump! [via figsoku]

  • Few things go together as well (and often) as Good Smile Company and the Fate/Stay Night franchise. And of course they had a massive amount at this Wonder Festival, so let’s just dive right in! We’re getting Nendoroids of Merlin, Miyamoto Musashi, Ishtar, and Elizabeth Bathory, along with figmas of Rider of Black, Jeanne d’Arc Alter, and Saber of Red. Onto my favorite, the scales! Good Smile will be giving us Altria Pendragon (who looks stunning), Mash Kyrielight: Heroic Spirit Formal Dress Ver (what a short and concise name!), Mash Kyrielight ~Dangerous Beast~, and Altria Pendragon on a motorcycle. From Max Factory we will get Jeanne d’Arc Alter Dress Version and a soft vinyl Paul Bunyan (who is a Berserker–were they inspired by IT?). Last but not least, Orange Rouge is giving us two boys: Gilgamesh and the original Lancer! A little something for everyone, no? [via whl4u]

  • In a surprise move, Volks has shown off two fully finished Dollfie Dreams for their next pre-order project and both are a total surprise. I know we were all hoping for Nier or Luka, but we’re getting… more Saber! Fate/Grand Order Saber and Jeanne d’Arc, to be exact. I’m going to be honest: I am not happy with this decision. We have so very many Saber Dollfies already, and it looks like the new one has the same head sculpt. Jeanne is pretty, but do we NEED more Fate Dollfies that are, essentially, Saber clones? I’d much prefer any of the Casters. Or, like, any other character. Ishtar? A new Rin? But nope, it’s DD Saber again. They will be pre-order dolls so no rush to enter a lottery! Hopefully this isn’t like the last set, though, where Volks wanted the whole cost upfront. Since these have armor & swords they will likely be around $1,000 each, and I can’t imagine casually dropping 2k for a product you won’t get for a year! [via Volks]

  • AlphaMax never fails to disappoint me. Whether it’s with the creative new ecchi art they’ve picked up (unlike some companies *cough*native*cough* they seem to remember generally what human women are shaped like), or their cute/sexy licensed figures. This year we have a great mix with a big focus on the Fate franchise. Swimsuit Jeanne d’Arc & Saber Extra and the lingerie Saber & Saber Extra sets look so cute! We also got a lovely Sora Kasugano. Check out all their new goodies in the gallery! [UPDATE] Added a few extra girls from moyeo, post is now NSFW [via Dengeki]

  • Aniplex had some truly epic figures on display this year. All of their teaser girls were on display, and they totally stole the show! The detail of Devil Homura, Asuna, and Jeanne d’Arc is truly astounding. But even their simpler girls, like the Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata maiko line, was pretty stunning. Saenai seems so popular, because they also had a casual Megumi. They have a second figure of Kaori Miyazono from Your Lie In April, and an announcement for the beautiful Ishtar from Fate/Grand Order. Who appears to be Rin. Seriously, what is up with F/GO!? [via Aniplex’s Twitter]

  • I predicted that Fate/Grand Order would be the most popular license at Wonder Festival, and I was right. I was too right, guys. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY OF THEM. This is just from Good Smile (and just what they put up before the show). Are you ready? We have the painted Berserker from Max Factory, and Saber Atilla from Good Smile Company. They also have the sculpt for Shuten Douji out. Nendoroid Lancer is painted, and Jeanne d’Arc is sculpted. We also have announcements for a Nendoroid of Jeanne d’Arc Alter/Santa Lily. What is these names, too confusing. Oh, and Alter/Lily/Jeanne is getting a scale from GSC too! As is Boobie Pony Saber (aka Lancer Altria), and Boobie Kitty (Shielder). Not enough Fate for you? Well, Max Factory is doing water gun bikini Saber (aka Artoria Pendragon) and Lancer. Then we have cute minis from Phat! Company. Phew! [via whl4u]

  • Flare is a company with a ton of potential: they make beautiful figures with some unique concepts. But their prices are so fucking high, like old Yamato, that I always kind of shy away from them. Their WonFest lineup is going to make that pretty hard, though. They had some beautiful sculpts out: the dynamic Samurai from 7th Dragon, the super-cute Noah, Halloween Caster, the gorgeous Houkago no Pleiades duo, and the Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm catgirls. Then there are so many announcements! Some of them, like the naked Gwendolyn, are a little weird. But then we have Saber Bride, 2 Tony Taka girls, Jeanne d’Arc, Akari from Aria, Oswald from Odin Sphere, and Taiga Kougami from King of Prism. [via figsoku]

  • Max Factory has already shown off their Kantai Collection and IDOLM@STER cuties, and it seems like their line for the upcoming year is going to be dominated by just a few franchises. A large chunk of it was Vocaloid related (Heart Hunter Miku, finally, and a new Luka!) or Fate/Stay Night. We have the amazing header Jeanne d’Arc, along with Grand Order’s Berserker and an announced Assassin. We have two of the To LOVEru lingerie girls (Nana and Yuuki), and two Seventh Dragon figures (sculpted Samurai and announced Mage). They’ll be doing a figFIX of Honoka, along with matching figures of the rest of the Love Live! girls. Surprisingly, DoA’s Marie Rose is getting a lovingly sculpted figure, and Hotaru Shidare is painted. Check ’em out in the gallery! [via Wonderful Hobby Life]

  • Jeanne d’Arc is definitely the Saber of Fate/Grand Order, at least in terms of popularity. I mean Grand Order has an actual Saber in it, but Jeanne is clearly the “it girl” of the game. She’s got lots of prize figures, a RAH, the Gift scale (painted when?), and of course her Nendoroid! And I’m just gonna assume a GSC scale at Wonder Festival because we all know it’s going to happen. Today we’re taking a look at the cutest Jeanne, her Nendoroid! That blushing face is slaying my heart, I want her so bad! But I’m not entirely happy with the extras. She has some cute faces, her sword, a flag, and… that’s it? I always expect F/SN Nendos to be more weaponry-heavy or at least have effects or something. Orders open tonight! [via Kahotan]

  • If there is an event where Good Smile Company is at attendance, you can bet that there will be Nendoroids. So many Nendoroids. We have some announcements: Fate/Apocrypha‘s Jeanne d’Arc (yay!), Aoba Suzukane from New Game!, and Aqua from Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!. We also have some updated sculpts. Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord is painted, as is Kogane Asabuki from Bubuki Buranki. Also Matsuno Osomatsu is sculpted, so I’m sure all the other brothers are to follow! We also have one of Miku’s Co-De outfits all painted up. [UPDATE] Added some up-close shots, and also a second Miku! [via Kahotan & AmiAmi]
