  • Kalmia Project is one of those strange, brand-new NSFW companies that Native is suddenly distributing. They all seem to have Native-like quality, no? And Native themselves are distributed by GSC. It’s a confusing world of naked figures. Kalmia might be new to the scene, but they showed some awesome stuff off at Wonder Festival. They only had 3 sculpts out, but the White Elf in particular is quite impressive. There’s also a bunny girl illustrated by Ogin Bara and a demon girl illustrated by Houtengeki. And of course we have to have a few art announcements! Check ’em out in the gallery below. [via Kalmia’s Twitter]

  • Once again, Alter’s event booth is totally dominated by idol girls (and some idol boys!). Oddly enough, I kind of hate watching all those shows but I passionately love the figures. Who knows with these things. And oh boy is this a good year for idol-loving peeps. Their stunning Ranko is painted, along with Sachiko. We’ve got the world’s freaking cutest Anzu Futaba and a sassy as hell Shiki Ichinose. As for Love Live!, there are new figures of Rin Hoshizora and Hanayo Koizumi. For the boys, we have Ai Mikaze and Ranmaru Kurosaki from Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ painted and Camus is sculpted. The much-anticipated Okoi from Oboro Muramasa is here, and we have an announcement for Torahime! There was a surprise sculpt for SAO‘s Sinon, the casual Lancer sculpt, Ikumi Mito it painted, and we’ve got a very suggestive maid Lala. Oh, and Santa Alter Saber is on display too! It’s so weird and over the top but I love Christmas figures. [via AmiAmi’s Twitter]

  • It’s that time again! Time to look at a few of the garage kits that will be on display and for sale at Wonder Festival. Of course for most of us this is just to drool over, but as always if you are attending the event each picture is labeled with the circle & character name! Also, I am insanely jealous of you. The trends this year are basically what you would expect. Tons of Re:Zero (and by that I mean tons of Rem & Ram, who cares about the other characters!), idol shows out in force, and quite a bit of Granblue Fantasy. Some old trends seem to be dying (there’s very little of Miku & Sonico compared to previous years). And, surprisingly, Cartoon Network is represented quite a bit. Check them all out in the gallery below, and let us know what you’d like to see as PVC! [via Grizzry Panda, mokupate, Volks, Kotopora, Primal Heart, fixia, Anadigi, Tinami]

  • I really want to love Flare. They make beautiful figures with insanely intricate sculpts, and they take on interesting licenses. But they are just so expensive. Every time I see a figure from them I think, “wow, pretty, but not $150 pretty!” And sadly, that’s how I feel about their teasers. Two figures I’ve been looking forward to, but will either be worth their steep pricetag? We have Shunya Yamashita’s Rei Ayanami (will they do the matching Asuka? I never liked the Yamato one, and that I’d pay for…), and Noah from Little Noah. Ugh, her clear hair! So pretty! I want it… [via Flare’s Twitter]

  • Ah, Native, at it again with the feet teasers. I swear, someone on their staff is, like, super into feet. Then again, we had a lot of foot-themed teasers this year! Both GSC and Max Factory got in on that toe action. What a time we live in. Anyway, Native has shown off their WonFest teasers, and like usual most of them match up with the goodies & art they had on display last year. We clearly have Sonico, as well as the figures designed by Mutsuki Sugamo, Butcha-U, Raita, Tony Taka, and Pyon-Kti. Not any art teasers this year, though–maybe they are slowing down on the whole “announce things 5x faster than we can make them” deal. [via Native’s Blog]

  • Max Factory plays it a bit more coy than their sister company GSC. Sure, some of their teasers are clear and concise, but they also give us near-unidentifiable pixellated blogs. What a tease! This year there’s a good mix. Some are so obvious: figmas Gwendolyn, the Hunter from Bloodbourne, Crow from Gravity Daze 2, Yukari from Girls und Panzer, scales of Murakumo from KanColle and Urashima Kotetsu from Touken Ranbu. But what about the blobs? Well, one set is clearly Rem & Ram (scaled, it appears!), and another is… a big ‘ol mess of I don’t know. Any ideas? We also know that they will have a figma of Leonard Watch on display! [via the figma blog]

  • Winter Wonder Festival is tomorrow night (along with the first day of Toy Fair–gonna be a busy day for us!) and the teaser flood is upon us. First up is the teaser king, GSC. Every year they show us so many new goodies that I think there’s no way any surprises will be left for the event… and every year I’m wrong. Like usual, we have a mix of scaled teasers and Nendo teasers. Vira from Granblue Fantasy is painted, along with Hasabe Heshikiri from Touken Ranbu. It seems like Atilla from Fate/Grand Order is too! And the Girls und Panzer Nendo Petit line is ready for action. There’s a new Miku (wow surprise!), Fate/Grand Order petits, Warspite Nendo from KanColle, Kagari Atsuko from Little Witch Academia, and more. Check ’em all out in the gallery! Who is the interesting sitting figure, I wonder? [via Kahotan]
