While we’ve got our standards here like a new Racing Miku and a new Miku variation from V4X and the female main character from Pokemon Sun and Moon that we already showed you, Li from Cardcaptor Sakura, Nero from Fate/EXTELLA, Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh!, Kaban from Kemono Friends, a handful of new Kantai Collection additions, and some more Little Armory additions, the rest seem to be a bit all over the place. Between the Dark Souls III figma and Kasumi from Dead or Alive, we’ve got some great video game additions that are less expected. Then we’ve also got the amazing announcement of a Tony Taka’s PANDORA figma, which should be great!

Now in unexpected land we’ve got Arashi from Game Center Arashi, figma Kurogo, who just appears to be a random ninja, Goro Inogashira from Kodoku No Gurume, who just looks like a random middle aged Japanese guy in a suit, the wrestler Masahiro Chono, two figmas from Arms Note, and last, but not least, completely out of left field, a character from the 1977 movie Village of Eight Gravestones. Then the art line is being continued with Yuurei-zu and Nike and we’re also getting a figma of higma, the traditional bear carving. Check them all out in the gallery below!

[via the Wonderful Hobby Life For You site, masspromodel’s Twitter]

We’ve seen the Mikus (my favorite from them), but there’s lots more like… Rurouni Kenshin? So many surprise boys at this event! The Eriri and Megumi from Saenai Heroine are finally sculpted, as is Ai-chan from Tawawa on Monday whose breasts seem to be escaping from her shirt, poor dear.

Their Marie Rose is finally painted and… I no longer want her? Just a garish color combo. In other fighting game news, they are doing a Renewal version of their infamous Kasumi. Morrigan when?! Iowa is also painted, along with the tiny Kemono Friends figures. For announcements, we have Jeanne d’Arc Alter dress version, whose art is just stunning.

[via whl4u]

It seems like companies never have anything big and fancy. Well, GSC is making me eat my words for this Summer Wonder Festival because they pulled out ALL the stops.

First off, finally the return of scaled figures! And what an unexpected one. Max Factory is re-releasing their famous (and rare) Kasumi in 1/20 scale in the PLAMAX line. She’ll retail for ¥3,000. Kaiyodo will also have a new Wonda-chan for ¥9,800.

We have quite a few Nendoroids. There’s the updated Reimu from Touhou Project (¥5,000) and a set of Asuna & Kirito O.S Versions (¥5,500 for the set). Sadly, these will not be available online and are only at Wonder Festival, Anime Expo, Japan Expo, CCG Expo, Shanghai ChinaJoy, and 2017 18th Comic Exhibition. Everything else will be available online right after the event, which is July 30th. As for regular Nendoroids, there’s a super cute Yuri Katsuki who will get a matching Vincent. Then we have the Nendoroid More Dress Up Wedding Elegant Version (what a mouthful) and the penguin face case which I really need in my life.

Last, but not least, is WATER GUN SABER FIGMA. Amazing. Perfect. Wonderful. ¥5,500. For the first time in a while, I want the vast majority of these!

[via whl4u]

Good Smile Company & Co’s Summer Wonder Festival 2017 Exclusives

For a few years now I have bemoaning the downfall of festival exclusives. It seems like companies never have anything big and fancy. Well, GSC is making me eat my words for this Summer Wonder Festival because they pulled out ALL the stops.

We’ve got the MegaHouse Jessie, and of course that bizarre/amazing Brock from a while back. Today they’re showing us what might be their crowning achievement, a figure of everyone’s favorite water gym leader Misty! Or Kasumi, if you like the OG names better.

This is kind of a good news/bad news situation. Good news: she looks just like the game sprite! And it’s a friggin figure of Misty! Bad news: everything else. She’s an exclusive, and while her retail price is pretty low (¥3200) she’ll end up costing about $40 with shipping at a proxy like Big In Japan. Which is a lot, because she’s just over 4 inches tall. Yes, that’s hella tiny. I don’t understand why these aren’t just standard? They’d make so much more money? Get your shit together, Bandai, because I’m not THAT much of a sucker for nostalgia. Unless they do a Sabrina, then I’ll shell out as much as you want…

[via Bandai]
