Since their reveal at Wonder Festival, fans have been waiting with anticipation for the release of Art Spirits’ Catherine & Katherine figures. The game was quite popular but hasn’t gotten as much figure-love as you’d think (especially given the success of Persona 4‘s figures). In fact, there’s really only one scaled figure: Max Factory’s Catherine. The game’s other heroine got no attention at all (possibly because she doesn’t shove her boobs in peoples’ faces).
These two popped up painted about a month ago, and now we’re getting a nice detailed look at these competing ladies. Though why they’d be competing over a doofus like Vincent we’ll never know! Anyway, they look quite nice here: Catherine in particular is looking much better than any previous pictures revealed. I still think Katherine is the better of the two, though. The details aren’t as sharp as you’d expect from a top-tier company, but given the smaller price-point these two are likely to get and the fact that we really don’t have any other options, I am not going to complain!

At Wonder Festival, a newer company called Art Spirits had a surprising announcement: they were doing figures of the two heroines from Catherine, Catherine & Katherine! This was great news for fans, as aside from one other figure the game has been mostly neglected by manufacturers. It’s always hard to tell exactly what a figure will look like without paint, so now we’re getting our first real look at these two: and for some reason, the quality seems vastly different.
Catherine is looking just okay: the paint seems flat and something about her face isn’t doing it for me. But Katherine, on the other hand, looks amazing! Too bad she’s 1/8 scale, so you won’t be able to pair her up with Max Factory’s Catherine. No word on pricing or release, but hopefully these two are reasonably priced and not in, you know, July!

We already have a figure of Catherine from, well, Catherine, but a lot of people want a figure of the other heroine: Katherine! Well, Art Spirits is here to fulfill these wishes! They’re basically a brand-new company with only one figure on the market, but their quality seems solid and their prices are decent. The sculpts also look very nice, especially Katherine! It’ll be nice to see these two painted, and I think they will make a lovely matching set.
