Like usual, ques Q’s booth at Wonder Festival was like 80% KanColle and Touhou Project. Yet they put out figures from both those series so slowly! It’s a conspiracy to drive us insane, I tell you. At least this year they had some cool KanColle girls who we don’t usually see, like Northern Princess (squee!), Kashima, Ro 5oo, and Naka. And they didn’t announce any more, thank the lord.
On the Touhou front they announced two new Sakuya Izayoi and a new Remilia Scarlet. Two of my faves! Sadly, Love Bomber Sonico is still unpainted, as is Lancer and the Raita bunny girls. They did have quite a few announcements, of course: they’ll be doing Samurai from 7th Dragon in a maid outfit (wut), and Saber from Fate/Grand Order. Pink-haired Saber with a demon tail, I can get behind this.

I used to really look forward to Phat! Company’s booth when they did pretty much nothing but IDOLM@STER. Those were good times. Times I look back fondly on. I mean, they still had quite a few IM@S girls at the event, like the super candy-sweet Frederica Miyamoto and a few older sculpts (that still aren’t painted!!). But it’s definitely slowed down.
They did have some other things, like a brand-new wedding Rem and a few painted sculpts. But overall, not a ton of new things! And then we have a bunch of Fate/Grand Order announcements: Caster EXTRA, Saber EXTRA in a kimono, and Kiyohime Lancer. Hopefully they are as cute as the IM@S stuff!

Kotobukiya always brings out the goods for Wonder Festival, and this year is no exception! We have a great lineup of figures here, starting with of course the painted Protagonist from Persona 5. Yes, my beauty, come home to me. In other game news, we have their new Pokemon girls! Or, well, one of them sculpted, and the outline of the other.
The Caster/Lancer from their teasers is here, and looking adorable. We’ve also got a few old announcements finally painted: Vira from Granblue Fantasy (give to me now yes), RyuuZU from Clockwork Planet, and Charlotte from Shironeko Project. There’s a new Girls und Panzer bikini line: Anchovy is painted, and Alice Shimada will be joining her soon. In other new announcements, they will be doing Victor from Yuri on Ice!! Check ’em all out below.

Once again, Alter’s event booth is totally dominated by idol girls (and some idol boys!). Oddly enough, I kind of hate watching all those shows but I passionately love the figures. Who knows with these things. And oh boy is this a good year for idol-loving peeps. Their stunning Ranko is painted, along with Sachiko. We’ve got the world’s freaking cutest Anzu Futaba and a sassy as hell Shiki Ichinose. As for Love Live!, there are new figures of Rin Hoshizora and Hanayo Koizumi.
For the boys, we have Ai Mikaze and Ranmaru Kurosaki from Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ painted and Camus is sculpted. The much-anticipated Okoi from Oboro Muramasa is here, and we have an announcement for Torahime! There was a surprise sculpt for SAO‘s Sinon, the casual Lancer sculpt, Ikumi Mito it painted, and we’ve got a very suggestive maid Lala. Oh, and Santa Alter Saber is on display too! It’s so weird and over the top but I love Christmas figures.

I predicted that Fate/Grand Order would be the most popular license at Wonder Festival, and I was right. I was too right, guys. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY OF THEM. This is just from Good Smile (and just what they put up before the show).
Are you ready? We have the painted Berserker from Max Factory, and Saber Atilla from Good Smile Company. They also have the sculpt for Shuten Douji out. Nendoroid Lancer is painted, and Jeanne d’Arc is sculpted. We also have announcements for a Nendoroid of Jeanne d’Arc Alter/Santa Lily. What is these names, too confusing. Oh, and Alter/Lily/Jeanne is getting a scale from GSC too! As is Boobie Pony Saber (aka Lancer Altria), and Boobie Kitty (Shielder). Not enough Fate for you? Well, Max Factory is doing water gun bikini Saber (aka Artoria Pendragon) and Lancer. Then we have cute minis from Phat! Company. Phew!

Wonder Festival is less than a week away, and you know what that means–teaser time! I feel like every year these pop up sooner and sooner. It used to start on Wednesday and Thursday, now we get them at the beginning of the week! Well, the better to spread ’em out, I guess.
First up is Kotobukiya with 4 teasers. Two are of figures we already knew about: the protagonist from Persona 5 and RyuuuZU from Clockwork Planet. Then we have two new ones! There’s an ArtFX+ of Arrow (from the show, not the comics) and a new Lancer from Fate/Grand Order. Which is basically Caster Extra in a swimsuit? I’ll be honest, I have not the faintest clue what is going on with Fate anymore.
[UPDATE] We have some teaser artwork for the Ms Marvel Bishoujo! This will be on display at Toy Fair (which we will be covering in person!), but might also make a WF appearance.
[UPDATE 2] We also have Bishoujo Katana’s teaser! Thanks Marissa~

I am usually not that excited for PLUM’s event lineups, but after their teasers this year? Yeah, I wanted to see that Lancer pretty badly. I love her design, and thankfully the final figure does not disappoint! The paint is just so lovely and detailed. I actually think I like the sculpt for ques Q’s Lancer a bit better, but I don’t know if they will beat this paintjob.
Then we have Caster, who is… less exciting. I just don’t think her design looks like the rest of the F/SN girls and she kind of sticks out like a sore thumb. Very generic magical girl-y.

Ah, ques Q. The company I always want to love but never end up buying stuff from. Given some of their cute Wonder Festival sculpts, though, I feel like my ques Q collection is about to climb. I mean, the Lancer alone is to die for! But we also have a very cute Show by Rock figure, God-Hand from 7th Dragon, so much Kantai Collection (tons of sculpts and, like, 8 announcements), a super cute Alice Cartelet, and many more. Including a Raita figure I have strong feelings about.
Then we have announcements! Mai Kawakami from Musaigen no Phantom World, Assassin from Fate/Grand Order, and the three main girls from Girls und Panzer (why is this suddenly so figure-popular again?).

PLUM is one of those companies that always slips under my radar. It’s a combination of having ordered some of their first few figures (which were… not the best) and the fact that they still only seem to be mid-level quality. But recently they’ve been trying for more elaborate and interesting sculpts, which seems to be the trend for their WonFest teasers!
They only have two, but both look pretty awesome. We’ve got Lancer and Caster from Fate/Grand Order: lancer is painted and oh my god I’d seriously believe you if you told me it was an Alter teaser. Caster’s looks less promising, since there are some pretty glaring hair seams, but maybe her design is cute enough to distract from that.

Recently, ques Q has been ALL ABOUT Kantai Collection. And this year… yeah, no changes. Their booth is like 70% KanColle. So let’s just dive right in. We’ve got figures of Kongou, Haruna, Atago, Ooi, Yukikaze, Kirishima, Nagato, Naka, Takao and more. Then we’ve got announcements for Northern Princess (!!) and Ro 500, along with the previously announced Hibiki.
Sadly, Love Bomber Sonico did not make an appearance (though they have art for her out). There’s some Touhou Project (Patchy and FINALLY the evil Remilia), along with announcements like Lancer from Fate/Grand Order. How… how many Fate versions are there?
