Liliana Archive

  • Merry Christmas Eve, Plastikitties! Of course magazine scans decided to drop on one of the busiest days of the year–usually we get them on the 21st or 22nd, but this year Japan decided “hey, let’s wait until those crazy Americans are actually doing something!” So this month we are keeping it short and sweet. This is an action packed bunch of scans: MegaHouse has their Dragon’s Crown Sorceress sculpted, release info for their Amazon, and more IDOLM@STER goodies (of course). AlphaMax has a surprise sculpt of Saber Bride that looks amazing! Hyakka Ryouran has a ton of figures in these scans: Inshun Houzouin from Alter, Mataemon Araki from Kaitendoh, and a painted Naoe from New Line. Clayz is bringing a Takeshi Miyagawi Ymir sculpt to PVC (FINALLY!), and MegaHouse’s new Liliana is painted. Amakuni is redoing their Noel (again), this time with a tweaked sculpt, and their Shimakaze is done too. The Seven Sins Satan is… still just a sculpt, and the second Asmodeus is here in more detail. We’ve also got a repaint of Koto’s Kobato, which I am honestly not feeling at all. On the Tony Taka front, swimsuit Nellis is sculpted and looking amazing, and the AlphaMax Viola is painted (and I’m in love!). We’ve got lots of Nendos and the Snow Miku figma, Fairy Tail’s Erza Scarlet, and FREEing has their yukata Tamaki and Inori painted. And last but not least, Alter’s Hayate and Max Factory’s Cerberus make appearances. Phew, that’s a lot of stuff! Check them all out in the gallery. [via Figure/GK]

  • Whoo, scans. Pardon my lack of enthusiasm, but the week leading up to Wonder Festival always has me dreading scans. It means extra features (garage kit roundup and wishlist) on top of, well, the event coverage and we have three reviews to work on this week! So when I remembered scans were tonight I nearly cried. For real, ask Stephen. So, let’s just dive right in. Wow, such figures! So PVC! Wowwwww! Maybe I’ll just do every post in Shibe…

  • The 28th Annual Prize Fair just happened, but it seems like not all of the new goodies were shown off there. In fact, some of the best were kept hidden! These are mostly in the “art” phase (though some seem to be sculpted), so it’s not really a huge surprise. We’ve got several new Evangelion figures (which were noticeably absent at the event), a new Saber from Fate/Zero, some very cute Persona 4 chibis, figures from Shana & Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate, and even some of the ladies from Queen’s Blade Rebellion! None seem to be up for order on any sites that ship internationally but we’ll be sure to update you when they do. For now, check them out in the gallery–I’ve sworn off prize figures but I’m pretty sure that Asuka and Liliana are making their way into my collection! [UPDATE] Big In Japan has most of these figures up for order in their PVC section. [via Hobbynet]

  • It seems like it’s adorable Queen’s Blade day here on Plastikitty–which is unusual as there’s usually not a ton of Queen’s Blade news and it’s almost never cute! But first we had Nendoroid Annelotte and now we have this painfully sweet set of petits from Hobby Japan illustrated by the always-wonderful CHANxCO who worked on the goofy faces for the BRS Nendoroids as well as BRS Pucchito. You can check out the original illustrations in the gallery, and I think Hobby Japan did a pretty good job bringing them to life. By some miracle, the 5 girls in this set are some of my very favorite QB girls: we’ve got Mirim, Siggy, Annelotte, Ymir, and Liliana. They’re all in their Queen’s Blade Rebellion outfits, which I like more than the original ones. Ymir & Siggy are my two main favorites and Ymir is one of my all-time favorite characters so I am quite happy with the lineup! There’s also a secret: I am hoping for Alleyne or Nanael. Each individual box costs ¥760 but you can get a set of 10 (meaning you’ll have 2 dupes) at AmiAmi for ¥5,350. That may seem a bit pricey but they are released in October, which is a pretty empty month so far!

  • Time once again for the best part of the month (for collectors at least)–magazine scans! It’s like being a kid in a candy store except none of the candy can actually be purchased and it’s all very expensive. This month we have exactly what you’d expect: more Queen’s Blade, Miku, Hyakka Ryouran, Seven Sins, and a whole lot more. So hit the jump and let’s get started! [UPDATE] Updated with scans from FREEing & AmiAmi Zero

  • Once again, our loot is two months late! I was thinking back about our July and June posts, though, and it doesn’t seem so bad. We didn’t even get payment requests for our August orders until mid-September, and it takes a while to receive everything and then organize it all. If you order only 1 one 2 figures a month you’ll get them right on time, but the bigger the order the longer the delay. Anyway, back on topic! August was our biggest month ever for figure orders, as we ended up with both of our AmiAmi orders and a flood of exclusives that all seemed to come out at once. It’s probably going to be our biggest month ever (or at least for quite some time), as Stephen and I have started trimming down our orders quite a bit.
