@GeekeryDo: @mikeyturvey I agree with you. I stopped reading them because I got tired of it, though @Sir_Narwhal is correct that it's normal for comics.

@GeekeryDo: @Sir_Narwhal @mikeyturvey yeh but that's just one arc and it's easy to read it all since, as you said, it's been put together like that.

@NFern0: @Sir_Narwhal Sounds like (ohoho) specialist equipment. Black Friday is more mass consumer oriented isn't it?

In a shocking turn of events, the fully sculpted Seven Deadly Sins line has been unveiled at CharaHobby! Did anyone even know Orchid Seed & Amakuni were turning up here? I sure didn’t, but… here they are! There’s a ton of new stuff: mainly that Beelzebub and Belphegor, the last two from Amakuni, are sculpted and man Beelzebub is SO CUTE ahh!
Swimsuit Lucifer is also here (though we’ve seen the sculpt before) and she actually looks a lot cuter than I thought. Last but not least, there’s the Leviathan repaint! Which, to be honest, is bringing the whole thing down. She’s just… ugh, candy colored? What? Ew.
[UPDATE] Added closer pictures from moeyo!

Whoo, scans. Pardon my lack of enthusiasm, but the week leading up to Wonder Festival always has me dreading scans. It means extra features (garage kit roundup and wishlist) on top of, well, the event coverage and we have three reviews to work on this week! So when I remembered scans were tonight I nearly cried. For real, ask Stephen.
So, let’s just dive right in. Wow, such figures! So PVC! Wowwwww! Maybe I’ll just do every post in Shibe…

Just when you thought Orchid Seed was nearly done with the Seven Deadly Sins line, they turn around and pull out some new tricks! Seeing as how Alter is still working on swimsuit versions of the Hyakka Ryouran girls this really isn’t that surprising, but it is interesting that they are announcing it this early on. I mean, Satan and Mammon aren’t even up for order, and Lucifer’s regular figure hasn’t been released!
In any case, we have the full art for Lucifer’s swimsuit rendition and I have some mixed feelings about it. I love the pose and sunglasses, but I really wish her bikini top offered a bit more coverage. I’m not a fan of the “I couldn’t find a swimsuit that fit me!” trope because it’s so painfully fanservice-stupid and impractical. Also, Lucifer actually has a pretty realistic chest so I’m betting she could, you know, get a top that fit her. Hopefully Orchid manages to turn this into a sculpt I want!

Another month, another round of magazine scans! Like clockwork, it’s that time again. This time we’ve got a whole lot of Tony Taka for you guys, which makes me a very happy camper. Heck, every figure release in the world could be Tony Taka and I’d be pleased.
Of course we’ve got other things: Devil Survivor, Fate/Stay Night, Miku, the inevitable Cattleya, figmas, Nendoroids… and not a boy in sight! So check them all out below.

Hobby Japan’s newest collaboration, the Seven Deadly Sins line, has so far included Asmodeus (Lust), Leviathan (Envy), and Lucifer (Pride). While the first two were exclusives, we were lucky enough to get a standard release for Lucifer. While I ordered her right off the bat, I know many people were on the fence due to her high pricetag. Well, for those of you not sure we’re getting a closer look at her today!
We’ve got a great and in-depth gallery of this sinful beauty, and there are some great detail shots. In fact, they highlight a few things that I missed–like the fact that she has a tail! I wonder which sin will be next? It seems like Orchid Seed and Amakuni are trading off on this project, so I am guessing it’s going to be Beelzebub or Belphegor.

Welcome to a week of fabulous flying ladies! We’ve got ladies with mechanical wings, butterfly wings, even feathered wings… on their waist! In fact, we’ve also got not one but two sky-high Nendoroids. Okay, so one rides a carrot and the other has weird feet blade-wings, but there’s still an unusually high number of airborne figures this time around. Of course we’ve got some earthbound ladies as well (and one small guy). Ladies with guns, small ladies with guns, flying ladies with guns… really, it’s a week of flying ladies with guns all around (and some with swords and laces!), many of whom popped up in magazine scans. So hit the jump and check them out!

When the Seven Sins line was first announced, I guessed that like the Hyakka Ryouran girls there would be a mix of standard releases and exclusives. Well, so far Seven Sins has been all exclusives: the first two, Asmodeus and Leviathan, were limited to Hobby Japan. However Lucifer, the third girl in the series and the 2nd done by Orchid Seed, will not be exclusive! In fact, she’ll be a regular old release… though given that this is Orchid, I don’t expect her to hang out in stores for months upon months.
This is one of my favorite of the seven designs along with Satan, and I think Orchid has really done her justice. The sculpt is amazing, and I love their use of clear PVC. And unlike when we first saw her, the base has been fully painted and given a marble effect. Plus she has a psycho crazy face! She’ll retail for ¥9,800 with a release way off in June, so you’ve got some time to save up. Like the other girls, she’s cast-off, though she seems to be more clothed than the previous releases.
note: Lucifer’s stock seems to be limited and she has already sold out at some places, so don’t sit on this pre-order!

Another month, another batch of magazine scans! They’re definitely gearing up for October, since these scans are full of some lovely treats: new Hyakka figures from Alter, the revival of the Shining Hearts swimsuit line, the goofiest Nendoroid, a totally gorgeous AlphaMax girl. But of course there are many tricks to be found: mainly, ridiculous pricing. I mean, beyond Goddess Madoka ridiculous… companies, what is going on?! But good news outweighs the bad, so hit the jump and let’s get started!

The Seven Deadly Sins line has been chugging along at about a figure every 2 months. Asmodeus was the first finished, and it was actually tonight that the second, Leviathan, opened up orders! Lucifer was sculpted in magazine scans only 2 days ago, but I didn’t expect to see her finished for a while now. Welp, here she is, fully painted and shaded and all that jazz. And of course she looks amazing! I mean, this is Orchid Seed we’re talking about. I adore the clear parts of her skirt and the shading on her “wings,” just lovely! We only have this blurry shot to go off of but I think she’s my favorite so far. Then again, she does have my favorite of the seven designs so I am biased! Let’s hope she is released in April or May, and not in March with Leviathan. Knowing how this line has been going so far though I have a terrible fear that she will be February, right smack dab between them!
[UPDATE] We now have a clearer shot of Lucifer in the gallery thanks to beyyang128. Also, a shot of Asmodeus & Lucifer together–they look AMAZING!

Welcome to another month of wacky magazine scans. This time we’ve got some very bad cellphone pics, but mixed in with higher quality scans that went up at the same time! Oh Japan, you’re so silly. This month we’ve got quite a few things, which is surprising given that WonFest was only a short while ago. You’d think companies would have nothing new left! Well we do have a lot of Nendoroids we already knew about along with recolors and re-releases, but there are some new goodies as well. Hit the jump to check them all out!
[UPDATE] Updated with the rest of the scans!
[UPDATE #2] Updated with a few stray scans, including MegaHouse’s Rider!
