@GeekeryDo: @mikeyturvey I agree with you. I stopped reading them because I got tired of it, though @Sir_Narwhal is correct that it's normal for comics.

@GeekeryDo: @Sir_Narwhal @mikeyturvey yeh but that's just one arc and it's easy to read it all since, as you said, it's been put together like that.

@NFern0: @Sir_Narwhal Sounds like (ohoho) specialist equipment. Black Friday is more mass consumer oriented isn't it?

If you feel like you’re having deja vu it’s because these figures have been delayed before. Multiple times. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even remember when they were supposed to be released. I do know that for both these ladies, it’s over a six month delay period since they’ve been pushed back from April to May. They better come out flawless on release or Good Smile is going to have some very angry customers…

AmiAmi has this nasty habit of combining our orders into big glumps that overlap between months. So, for example, we might not get some of our January stuff until the beginning of March (yet mysteriously it will be with not just February but March items as well). You may have noticed that we skipped a January loot post: well, that’s because we didn’t even get all our figures from it until a few days ago!
But thankfully January and February seemed to be smaller months than most, so we’re just going to combine them into a mega loot post! Check it all out after the jump.

Alter’s Princess of the Crystal was love at first sculpt, even before I knew she was done by Yagyuu Toshiyuki, my very favorite sculptor. Her painted scans were even better than I imagined, and I’ve been tensely waiting for actual preview images and a release date. Well, they’re finally here!
The best part (aside from the stunning face, billowing skirt and gorgeous coloring of course) is the inventive means of holding her heavy skirt up–instead of unsightly poles, we get her penguins! They can also be displayed on their own holding an apple. She’ll be a steep ¥11,800, but well worth it in my mind, and orders open on the 5th.

Welcome to another month of scans! We’ve got tons of awesome this time, including FIVE boys! No joke, five of ‘em. Oh, and some ladies as well of course. Lolis, busty demons, kick-ass steak eaters, and graceful penguin commanders. And, of course, the necessary NSFW girls and bikini babes. Check them all out after the jump!

Welcome to two months of loot in one! Actually it’s kind of three: as you may or may not have noticed, we didn’t have a August loot post either. It’s a long story, but basically AmiAmi has been smushing our orders together oddly so we get things late (but some early–most of our October was here before the September items). So some August items squeaked their way in! Hit the jump to get started on our most action-packed loot post yet.

Kotobukiya didn’t have anything new on display at the Miyazawa Model Exhibition this year, but they did bring along a whole ton of figures that are up for order like Fire Sakuya, Kuroyukihime, Vash the Stampede, the Yotsuba & KOS-MOS kits, the controversial Dark Magician, and Cu-Poches Haruka & Madoka. Even some Bishoujos showed up, like Jaina Solo and Jaycee, so check them all out in the gallery!

You’ve probably noticed a ton of delays from Good Smile Company & co recently, but it’s not really news-worthy since a delay of only a month isn’t exactly unusual in the figure world. However, we just got word of a TON of delays, and it seems like GSC has hit some production snags and is looking to fix them. Now, I’d just like to say that my stance on delays is different from most people: I welcome them! I’d rather wait a few extra months than get a figure with sub-par quality.
Anyway, onto the delays! Goddess Madoka was pushed back to December (no surprises there). The Shiki re-release, Sena, and the Princess of Crystal are all January now. The Golden Caliburn re-release was moved all the way back to February, and Max Factory’s Saber and Kiritsugu duo are January. Their Tomo is also January, and Medaka is February. Aside from Medaka, these were all originally 2012 releases! I hope Good Smile is able to successfully fix their issues and return to the quality we all know and love!

Welcome to another installment of Nendoroid Adventures, where the smallest and cutest members of the figure community explore the big, beautiful world! We’ve got a lovely mix of photos this time and a surprising lack of Miku Hatsune. Well, she’s still there, but not as frequently as usual! We actually have some boy Nendoroids this time as well. We’ve got Erio, Charlotte, Rin, Len, Kyoko, Sayaka, and even more. Check them all out in the gallery!

Treasure Festa is mostly a garage kit event, so it makes sense that we really only had one piece of news from it. Of course, just because there was no new PVC info to speak of doesn’t mean that there aren’t things worth drooling over! While it’s not quite as big as, say Wonder Festival, there were a massive amount of garage kits at the event. To no one’s surprise Touhou Project, Madoka Magica, and Miku Hatsune led the pack in number of kits. In fact, Touhou kind of overwhelmed Treasure Festa! There were also many custom figma accessories, a really cool idea. Some of these kits we saw before at Summer WonFest but many are brand-new and really great looking, so check them all out in the huge gallery!

Welcome to an action-packed week of orders here on Plastikitty! We’ve got a little bit of everything this time, including tons of boys, a single Nendoroid, some great re-releases, and of course a lot of Wonder Festival items. For me, though, it was the week of Tamaki. After a long time with no good Tamakis we got not one, not two, but… uh, yeah, two of her this week. Finally! So hit the jump to check them all out.
