  • Ah MegaHouse, that company I love to hate. I sure do love how many nostalgic figures they make, and I sure do hate how the best ones are always exclusive. Like Angewomon and Angemon. And you know, given the detail, that these two will follow the same pattern. SIGH. But I’m still excited, just can’t contain the digihype. We are finally getting my favorite ‘mon: Lady Devimon! Now that we have her and Angewomon, is Mastemon next up? I’d definitely pay proxy fees for that. We also have Dukemon Crimson Mode, whose sculpt looks pretty awesome so far. [via mega_girlshobby]

  • I tend to think of MegaHouse as a company that thrives on nostalgia. If it’s a new series, they hardly give it the time of day: it’s all about our childhood shows and long-running anime. So imagine my surprise at their big MegaHobby announcement: Yuri on Ice figures! If you told me they would be the first to hop on what I’m sure will be an insane figure hype-train, I would have laughed, but here we are. Of course they had a ton of nostalgia going on too. Their full Pokemon line was out, looking impressive, and showing off the Ash & Charizard figure we’ve all been waiting for. Plus a huge Digimon one too! Sadly, the new Android 18 is just as tacky and inaccurate as the first, but it’s kind of countered by a non-boobytastic Tsunade. Also a recolor of their gorgeous Elf!We’ve got Sailor Moon, Zatch Bell, One Piece, Naruto, D. Gray-Man, Space Battleship Yamato, Gundam, and so much more. Check them all out in the gallery! • Few figure lines bring me as much joy as MegaHouse’s Pokemon G.E.Ms. They’re so colorful and full of life! Plus, you know, the hardcore nostalgia it brings up is unbeatable. Though they’re small, I really feel like they are everything I want in a Pokemon line. Including, of course, all the classic characters we know and love–like Gary Oak, who I never thought would get a figure! Ash’s classic rival comes in a snooty pose fitting his character, and also a little Eevee pal. Aw, cute! But that’s not all: along with this release we got the announcement for the next in the line. It’s not a new character: they’ll be doing Ash again, but this time with Charizard. I have a spark of hope that he’ll be riding it. A girl can dream, right? Pre-Order At: HLJ | AmiAmi ~smell ya later~

  • Earlier this year, Alpha x Omega showed off their amazing Halloween-themed Eri Ayase figure. Sadly, she was both expensive and an exclusive, so I never got to own that cutie. Just look mournfully from a distance and wish she was mine. Sigh. Now, about a year after the initial announcement, they’re adding another girl: Nozomi Toujou! At this rate it’ll only take a decade to get the full set. But for real, Nozomi is one of my favorite Love Live girls, so I’m excited to see that she is next in line. I mean, she’ll probably be another exclusive and will slip through my fingers once again, but at least I get to admire the pretty pictures? [via Alpha x Omega]

  • I was at first quite excited for the Dragon Ball Gals line: a figure line of some of the most kickass ladies in anime? Yes please! Sadly, most of them have turned out to be character–inaccurate and painfully fanservice-y. I don’t even want to talk about what they did to 18. Yet somehow I still have hope that my faves will get great figures! And Android 18 is at least getting another shot, because they are doing a version 2 of her, along with an adult Chi Chi. They’ll also be adding Bulma riding with kid Goku to their Desktop Real McCoy line! [via Shonen Jump]

  • Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z figures are, by their very nature, a little nostalgic. But MegaHouse has really been pushing the nostalgia train hard, especially with their newest Bulma (who I am guessing is their new Nami, and we’ll see a hundred different figures of her). Remember the Dragon Ball ending theme? With Bulma chilling in the rain? That’s what their new figure of her is based on! After the disaster of Bunny Bulma, I’m really happy they’re going with a less fanservice-y take on the character. Sure, she’s just in a shirt, but it’s such a sweet figure and I love how they did her face. Hopefully she’s not exclusive and I actually have a chance to buy her! [via yozakana’s Twitter]

  • I was very excited when MegaHouse showed off their newest Sailor Moon sculpt at Wonder Festival. I really love the whole girls-in-food-cups thing, it’s just so freaking cute, and combine that with Sailor Moon? Um, yes please. The sculpt really looks amazing. The paint doesn’t quite live up to my hype, a little flat for my taste, but she still looks hella cute. She’s also hella limited and exclusive, because MegaHouse sucks and hates me. How many times have I complained about this? Well I ain’t gonna stop until they quit the “everything you want is impossible to get” bullshit. I also feel like she will be teeny, 1/10 scale, like their other Sailor Moon figures and she’s ¥5,900. Ouch! [via Sailor Moon Official]

  • MegaHouse has been on a roll with their anime-based Pokemon line. So far we’ve had Jessie & James, Ash, Misty, Brock, and Nurse Joy. I think we were all hoping Officer Jenny would be next and while that’s not the case, it’s still pretty exciting news! We’ll be getting May with Torchic and Skitty (I wonder if it will be as nice as the Kotobukiya one?) and Gary with Eevee. This line could continue on indefinitely and make figures of every single minor character ever in the anime and I’d probably still buy it. I wonder if we’ll get gym leaders soon? I’d love a Sabrina figure! [via MegaHobby]

  • My excitement for MegaHouse’s Digimon line certainly started out sky-high. But that was when, you know, I could actually buy them in regular stores and they weren’t all exclusives. We’ve had a spate of exclusive mons–Angemon & Angewomon, Garurumon, Beelzebumon and Renamon–and I’m sure these new ones will be no exception. So as always, not gonna get my hopes up. We have two updates–the first is that Veemon and Daisuke and painted! Then we have a brand-new sculpt, Leomon and Juri Katou from Digimon Tamers. Tamers was past my time so I don’t have any nostalgic value attached to the characters, but I must admit that Leomon looks absolutely magnificent. [via Mega GirlsHobby]

  • The star of MegaHouse’s booth was clearly their perfect Sailor Moon, and while that alone was enough to sway my heart they also had some other stuff. Like Dragonball Z, One Piece, Gundam, Naruto, Digimon… all the stuff we expect at this point. But we also got some cool announcements, like Zatch Bell figures (!!). Along with a beautiful Liko from Active Raid, who looks like a fancy Vocaloid and I am totally on board with that. Also with the lil Naruto tailed beasts, how cute is that? [via AmiAmi]
