Metal Gear Rex Archive

  • We have seen a bit from ThreeA so far this Toy Fair like their Dr. Doom, Iron Man, and the new figure lines. But of course that wasn’t all that they packed into their booth! There were also Squares. Little ones, big ones, chubby ones, um… well, they’re all kind of chubby aren’t they? So many Squares! I want them all. I guess there were some non-Square related things, but who cares?! Oh that’s right, everyone who isn’t me. Metal Gear Rex, Portal and Team Fortress made an appearance, along with the obligatory Tomorrow Kings & Queens and Adventure Kartel in a new size. There are new figures in a “Parade” line featuring FAT APPLE BIRDS? What even give them all to me. Then there are creepy doll girls called Sleepers and some other stuff you can totes check out after the jump.

  • Kotobukiya usually doesn’t have many anime-related figures at US conventions, so it was a nice surprise to see quite a few of them out at their booth at Toy Fair this year! Of course there is nothing new really, though there’s many we haven’t seen in person (like the unpainted sculpts for Olivia and Seraphim Sakuya, both of whom are HUGE and so pretty in person!). Of course there were a ton of ArtFX J boys, Shining World figures, some sneaky Metal Gear model kits, and the lovely Yui from Muv-Luv. Check them all out and more in the gallery!

  • Last week we showed you teasers of ThreeA’s New York Comic Con exclusives in particular their NYCC Zombs and now we have a look at more that will be on hand at the show and online in the coming weeks. First up are the NYCC Zombs which will come in 6 different colorways (three white shirt, three black shirt) and will be blind boxed and will retail for $90 each. The first batch goes on sale on Friday the 14th at 1:00 pm for those whose names appear on the NYCC t-shirt list with the second sale being on Saturday the 15th at 3:30 pm and will be done by tickets which can be picked up that morning. Also on hand for New York Comic Con will be the Magnificent AW 14×18 print for $40 that will be on sale at the same time as the Zombs. There’ll be lots of other things on hand for the convention as well so stop by booth #883 to see everything that the Legion will have on hand! That’s not all though, also shown off is Metal Gear REX from the Metal Gear Solid games! This is one detailed mech and is most certainly something that fans of the game will be looking forward to. Other than that the only other things shown off are the Tomorrow Kings, the 10 Finger Gang, K.I.D Sarge, who is a variation of the Square and will be an exclusive to the Square MK2 10 pack, the 3AA exclusive Medic Grunt/Nurse Betsy MK2 set, and the EMGY Grunt. I love the Nurse Betsy that comes in the Medic Grunt set as it’s a great new take on the Square and is super adorable and with all of these new figures, everyone’s bound to find something they’ll like. Well, that’s it for this week! Let us know in the comments what ThreeA items you’re trying to pick up or if you’ll be standing in line for the Zombs at New York Comic Con!
