There were only a handful of scaled figures, and it seems like we mostly got Nendoroids, figmas, and a very cute model kit. Of course there are always a few hidden gems, including a Kanu I actually like and an adorable figure from Kaitendoh. So hit the jump to check them out!</p>

    PVC Pre-Order Roundup: 1/29~2/2

After the action-packed orders of last week, it makes sense that this week would be a bit slower: and indeed, orders moved along at a crawl! Good Smile Company’s January Nico Nico Broadcast

Once a month Good Smile Company gets together a bunch of prototypes and shows them off on Nico Nico, usually with a mix of figures we know about and 2 or 3 pieces of brand-new info. This month they had quite a few juicy pieces of information floating around, so let’s get started!

We have a few new things: the figma of Himari Takakura from Mawaru Penguindrum is painted, and looks amazing! She even comes with a little penguin. We also got some announcements of new figures, first that they are doing Race Queen Nendoroid Petit versions of Miku, Luka and Rin in the style of the full-sized Race Queen 2011 Miku. The Miku was a pricey exclusive, and these will be too. However, they’re quite cute–I just wish that they were actual Nendoroids instead of petits. Last up they’ve announced a continuation of their Berserk figma line with Griffith–this actually annoys me to no end, first of all because I loathe his character and want to buy this just to smash it into a thousand pieces, and second because figures like Archer are getting neglected when Max Factory obviously has no qualms with making male figures.

They also showed off a lot of stuff that has already gone up for order: Nendoroid Momoyo, GSC’s 1/8 Sayaka, the Samus scaled figure and figma, Nendoroid Cordelia Glauca, the WonFest Homura Nendoroid, and Nendoroid Snow Miku 2012. I was hoping we’d get a sneak peak of Kyoko, but I guess we will have to wait until WonFest for her!

When we <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/comiket-81-nendoroid-momoyo-kawakami" target="_blank">first saw Nendo Momoyo Kawakami</a> from <em>Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai!</em> (<em>Love Me Seriously!</em>)I was worried that she would look odd when finished because of her large bust, but the final product looks great–and more importantly, her expression is tough as nails!</p> <p>Momoyo comes with a standard face, an angry face, tons of extra arms and legs and a clear punching attack effect which is pretty awesome. While she doesn’t come with a lot I love the overall aesthetic: her tough face, sharp eyes, flowing coat and the hair over her eyes is lovely. She does come with a third face, an embarrassed crying one, that I don’t really like for Momoyo–it doesn’t fit the tough girl image of the figure, but I bet it will be great for other Nendos!</p> <p>Momoyo is going up for order next week, and will probably have a May or more likely June release date. Expect the average Nendoroid retail price of ¥3,500.</p> <p>[via <a href="http://gscmikatan.wordpress.com/2012/01/26/nendoroid-momoyo-kawakami/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://gscmikatan.wordpress.com']);" target="_blank">Mikatan</a>]</p>

Nendoroid Momoyo Kawakami Will Punch You Out

Tough-looking Nendoroids are a rarity: usually they go for cute, vulnerable and shy looks, so finding an actual badass Nendoroid is rare (even with the male ones). At Comiket 81 they showed off a prototype of Momoyo Kawakami, the busty samurai descendant from <em>Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai!</em> (<em>Love Me Seriously!</em>), an eroge that is getting an anime adaptation. The plot is super-original: a highschool full of ridiculously busty girls related to samurai fight for attention while flashing their panties at a really boring protagonist.
