Nanoha Takamachi Archive

  • Have you ever thought to yourself “well, GSC sure does make the same thing over and over, but at least they’ve done so many variants of Fate & Nanoha that we won’t be getting any more sets of Petit Nendoroids from them!” You were wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong. Because, of course, there’s always some obscure outfit to stick this duo in. Like… aprons! Okay, the mini food is kind of cute. What’s not cute? The fact that they are bundled with Nanoha ViVid vol. 13 limited edition and retail for a hefty ¥3,500. At least the release isn’t until January? [via Kadokawa]

  • What in the world is up with the sudden streak of magical-girls-as-cheerleaders figures? Did they all decide to join a cheer squad? And if so, when are we getting Sakura Kinomoto and Sailor Moon versions? I mean, the Homura one was pretty weird, but I definitely wasn’t expecting Ichiban Kuji to come out with a Fate & Nanoha so soon after! I’m not ashamed to admit that I find this set absolutely adorable. They’re just… so cute! Especially Nanoha, and I’m usually a huge Fate fan so that’s really saying something. I mean… I kind of want to hunt both of them down on the aftermarket after the lottery in September. There are even little chibi cheerleaders, ee! [via Ichiban Kuji]

  • Do you like yukatas? Do you like pretty girls in yukaas? How about… sets of pretty girls in yukatas? THEN MAN OH MAN IS FREEing THE COMPANY FOR YOU. Thought the just announced set of Soniko pals was enough? Wrong. What about the Madoka set? I mean, she is here and painted, along with the Homura sculpt? WRONG. What about the Fate/Stay Night ones, I mean we haven’t seen Saber Alter yet! Oops well they forgot about her. But we DO have: Tamaki Kousaka; Inori; Nagi from Kannagi; Fate, Nanoha & Hayate (announced); Sasami Tsukuyomi and Mashiro Shiina. All. In. Yukatas. BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE. Yagyu Jubei (colored!), Rin, Len & Kaito (BOYS?!) in Senbonzakura gear (announced, no sculpts), Percival from Eiyuu*Senki (announced), Kaworu Nagisa (sculpted, uhnf), Rei Ayanami (announced), bunnygirl Rias Gremony (sculpted & huge), the ribbon gals from Kono Naka ni Hitori (painted), Akiho Senomiya (sculpted) and Akiko Himenokouji (sculpted) along with all the Sword Art Online figures. Holy crap FREEing, slow it down a little! Also, that Tama-nee. Be still, my heart. [UPDATE] Saber Alter is indeed sculpted, but wsas marked DNF so we can’t show her off. [via HMV_Anime & AmiAmi]

  • AmiAmi has this nasty habit of combining our orders into big glumps that overlap between months. So, for example, we might not get some of our January stuff until the beginning of March (yet mysteriously it will be with not just February but March items as well). You may have noticed that we skipped a January loot post: well, that’s because we didn’t even get all our figures from it until a few days ago! But thankfully January and February seemed to be smaller months than most, so we’re just going to combine them into a mega loot post! Check it all out after the jump.

  • Sometimes I want to grab a company by the (theoretical) shoulders and shake some sense into them. One of my more recent pet peeves has been the ridiculous amount of Nanoha figures Good Smile and Max Factory have been spewing out, all of which are essentially slightly better version of things we already have. Instead of, you know, new characters or even the ubiquitous Fate & Nanoha in other outfits. Fate and Nanoha all grown up? Yes please! More lolis? Kill me now. Funnily enough these versions of Fate & Nanoha, which we saw first at Wonder Festival, are the best looking ones yet. Those weapons! I really don’t understand why they made those figmas last year of Fate and Nanoha, since these are just essentially improved versions of those. How annoying! Well, at least I didn’t buy those Fates. Each will be ¥3,500 with a July release, expect orders tonight! [via the figma blog]

  • I have such a love-hate relatipnship with magazine scans. On one hand, it’s so much fun to see all the new goodies! On the other, it’s 3 in the morning and I wanted to catch up on Supernatural but instead I’m cropping photos. Ah, what a hard life us toy bloggers lead! Truly, we suffer for our art. Let’s face it magazine scans the month of a Wonder Festival will be the dullest of the year. Half the stuff we’ve already seen, and there are very few new reveals. However, that doesn’t mean there is nothing at all! Some companies, like Alter, apparently think it’s fun to save their most interesting sculpt for scans instead of the event, and we’ve got double Nyaruko along with a lot more goodies!

  • With the madness of Wonder Festival last week, there wasn’t exactly a whole lot of time to work on a roundup! Instead, we’re bringing you a double-packed roundup this week, featuring highlights from the past 2 weeks. Thankfully this week was a bit sparse, since companies took the first half off to recover from the event. We do, of course, have a whole lot going on! There’s lots of ladies and even a few boys, cheap figures and expensive figures, giant ones and tiny ones and everything in between, so check them all out after the jump!

  • Yaaaawn, another Nanoha from Alter. Usually I am Alter’s biggest fangirl but honestly, I am just bored with Nanoha now. This is actually a companion piece to their stunning loli swimsuit Fate, yet somehow Nanoha doesn’t even remotely live up to the standard Fate set. Seriously, if I saw these pictures without knowing it was Alter I would never in a million years guess it was them. It makes sense, though, to complete this set after how well their grownup Fate and Nanoha sold. But at this point I am swimsuit-Nanoha’d out. Esepcially since both Gift and ques Q have done very similar figures! I just want a swimsuit Vivio. [via Alter’s Blog]

  • December was (obviously) the last month of 2012, and boy was it a doozy. Even with the massive amount of delays that came late in the year it was just totally jam-packed with releases. In fact, this might actually be our biggest month of orders… ever. Well, maybe excluding July of 2010, where we had an entire wall of loot from SDCC. But in terms of imports, yeah, it’s a bit overwhelming! So hit the jump to check out all the goodies.
