  • Kotobukiya had a lot of nice surprises at MegaHobby. The first is the lovely sculpt from Yuri on Ice’s Victor, which wile not as dynamic as MegaHouse’s is a lot more appealing to me personally. Then they had two of their super cute Pokemon gals out & about. I need all of them! They also had Sagiri Izumi from Ero Manga-sensei, along with an announcement for Elf Yamada. We’ve also got Cu-Poche Rem & Ram, Aiz Wallenstein, and more. Check them out after the jump and let us know what you are looking forward to! [via AmiAmi Twitter & Dengeki]

  • Another day, another event in Japan! This time around it’s Anime Japan 2017, a smaller event that only a handful of companies attend. But they still had quite a few new goodies to show us. Re:Zero seemed to be the real star here: Rem & Ram have figures from Good Smile Company, and Rem is getting a Cu-Poche. Kemono Friends also proved to be quite popular, with the Nendoroid reveal of Serval and a figma announcement for her too. There were, of course, many Nendoroids out on display. Li Syaoran is sculpted and so cute! We had a few new announements from Kotobukiya too, like a scaled figure of Aiz Wallenstein from Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka Gaiden: Sword Oratoria. Why with these names, Japan. Aiz had a fully painted surprise figure from Genco out & about too. Check them out and much more in the gallery! [via Kahotan & Dengeki]

  • We’ve seen all of the new goodies that Good Smile Company had a toy fair already, like Nendoroid Tracer, the Portal 2 figmas, and Nendoroid Link. But of course they had more than 3 figures out! That would be pretty odd, right? A big booth with just 3 things. Very ominous. Anyway, they had lots of their more US-centric licenses out on display, like the Naruto Nendoroids… which are USA only! Weird, right? But cool. There was also a lot of Zelda, Dota 2, Fire Emblem, Metroid, Suicide Squad, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and of course… that amazing Disney announcement. Check ’em all out below the jump!

  • We’ve already shown you Pokemon figmas, Tracer and Genji from Overwatch, some new Fate/Grand Order figmas, Persona 5 figmas, and Utena, but it’s not a Wonder Festival if Max Factory and co don’t shove every possible franchise ever down our throats in poseable 1/12th scale form! When it comes to video games, we’ve got a lot between Crow from Gravity Daze 2, Ulala from Space Channel 5, Gwendolyn from Odin Sphere, Bloodborne and Dark Souls III, Ludens (who knows if this is even a game, but whatever), Kusanagi Kyo and Yagami Iori from King of Fighters, and the painted Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Samus. Then we’ve got like the entire cast of Love Live! Sunshine!! with Matsuura Kanan, Kurosawa Dia, Watanabe You, Tsushima Yoshiko, Kunikida Hanamaru, Ohara Mari, and Kurosawa Ruby so that you can recreate the show yourself a la Robot Chicken. Then continuing on with the anime we’ve got Rem and Ram from Re:Zero aka the same sculpt twice with super minor differences, but everyone’ll only buy Rem since she actually had a storyline unlike Ram, Tanya Degurechaff from Saga of Tanya the Evil (because Japan still has a hard on for little girls dressed up as the enemy from WWI or WWII), Klaus and Leonardo from the new season of Kekkai Sensen, Yukari Akiyama from Girls Un Panzer, and Misako Akeno from High School Fleet. Then from KanColle we’ve got three new entries with Yuudachi, Tokitsukaze, and Fubuki. FREEing also had a few figmas on hand with their massive Iron Fossil from Dariusburst as well as the Bubblegum Crisis Moto Slave and a figma ex:ride of Ray from Kikou Souseki Mospeada. Then over in experimental land we’ve got the amazing sculptor Takayuki Takeya taking on Devilman. Oh, but that’s not all. No. We also got *the best figma of all time*. What is it might you ask? What could be better than stuff like The Thinker? Oh, I’ll tell you. It’s the E233 Series Train. Yes, that’s right, it’s a literal figma of a train. Now everybody better hop on the figma train hypetrain before it leaves the station because woo boy I hope they make more trains to keep on with the ridiculous factor of having a figma train. • Kotobukiya always brings out the goods for Wonder Festival, and this year is no exception! We have a great lineup of figures here, starting with of course the painted Protagonist from Persona 5. Yes, my beauty, come home to me. In other game news, we have their new Pokemon girls! Or, well, one of them sculpted, and the outline of the other. The Caster/Lancer from their teasers is here, and looking adorable. We’ve also got a few old announcements finally painted: Vira from Granblue Fantasy (give to me now yes), RyuuZU from Clockwork Planet, and Charlotte from Shironeko Project. There’s a new Girls und Panzer bikini line: Anchovy is painted, and Alice Shimada will be joining her soon. In other new announcements, they will be doing Victor from Yuri on Ice!! Check ’em all out below. [via AmiAmi’s Twitter]

  • Lillie from Pokemon Sun & Moon is already surprisingly popular at Wonder Festival. First she got a Nendoroid, and now she’s the latest addition to MegaHouse’s Pokemon G.E.M series! Which, so far, has been absolutely amazing: reasonably priced and widely available, yes please. I think my favorite thing about this announcement is seeing the whole line all together. It’s so colorful and nostalgic! I wonder how big it will get, and who will be added next? Who would you like to see? [via mega_girlshobby]

  • Since Good Smile Company launched the Pokemon Nendoroid line, I think we’ve all wanted a little more. Sure, the figures are great, but by more I mean… give us 5 figures at a time ’cause us Pokefans will buy them all. And it looks like our dreams of going broke over plastic ‘mons can finally come true! We had 4 Poke-announcements from GSC at Wonder Festival. We’ll be getting a figma of Red, a Nendoroid of Ash, a Nendoroid of Lillie, and a Pokemon More set with Pikachu! What will this entail? A bunch of tiny Pokemons? Just Pikachu? Time will tell. • It’s a good time to be both a video game fan and a figure collector (I’m just gonna assume the crossover is pretty large). We’ve been getting so many great licenses, including of course a bounty of Nintendo figures. Especially from Good Smile! They’ve given us so very many Link figures so far… you’d think I would be tired by now, but the latest–Breath of the Wild Link–is my favorite so far. I mean, there’s just so much to love. There’s tons of detailing in his outfit and weaponry. He comes with a tiny lil pony (if you get the DX version, of course). And he’s just so tiny and angry! Something about the mad Nendoroid faceplates get me every time, because they’re so small and chubby. Check out our in-depth gallery of him below the jump.

  • MegaHouse’s Pokemon line really seems like a love letter to fans. Unlike their other nostalgia-fueld lines, they aren’t phoning in the sculpts or making everything exclusive (you know, like Sailor Moon and Digimon). Nope, they’re just bringing us colorful and affordable figures of a franchise we all passionately love! This time around it’s that amazing Ash & Charizard figure they previewed a while back. This is the biggest one in the line so far, and unless they do like Groudon or something I don’t think it will be topped. I mean, just look at it with all the others in the line! I have to admit, I barely order figures anymore but this entire line is an auto-buy for me. Ash & Charizard retail for ¥8,900 and are set for a June release date. Pre-Order At: HLJ | AmiAmi
