  • <p><a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/nycc-2017-good-smile-companys-booth-overview/attachment/nycc2017gscheader" rel="attachment wp-att-82978"></a></p> <p>I remember the dark times when Good Smile Company didn’t come to US events. Thankfully those days are over, because their booth is usually the toy highlight of any convention! And they really brought it for NYCC this year with not one but two separate booth displays.</p> <p>They had a lot of brand-new goodies, like <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/gsc-unveils-anniversary-miku-scaled-figure" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">the Anniversary Miku</a> (look at that hair!!), figma Genji, and the sculpt for the <em>Breath of the Wild</em> Guardian Nendoroid. It’s always nice to be able to see figures in person, it’s quite a different experience–for example, I wasn’t really sold on Marie Rose’s colors at all when the promotional shots came out, but I was totally won over when I finally got to see her. She might be coming to my pre-order list!</p>

    Summer WonFest 2017: FREEing

A shocking amount of their sculpts are just hanging around! I actually prefer sitting gals (easier to display a full shelf with height variety) so it’s good news for me. We saw a few of their figures already, like the ones at <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/check-figures-fatehistory-event" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Fate/History</a> and <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/summer-wonfest-2017-gsc-co-x-miku-hatsune" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Mikus</a>, but we got a lot more.</p> <p>Quite a few of their announcements are now sculpted: the “old” version of Kiss-Shot, birthday Rem, Megumi Katou, the Hot Limit girls (Sonico, Uzuki, & Eriri), Anastasia from <em>Cinderella Girls</em>, Izetta, Phosphophyllite, and Kouhai-chan.</p> <p>But the new announcements are what grabbed my attention.     Of course the highlight of Phat! Company’s booth was their amazing IDOLM@STER girls, but they rocked pretty much everything. I have to admit, they’re fast becoming one of my favorite companies. And they didn’t disappoint this year! I mean, just look at the header girl, Jibril from No Game No Life. MY HEART. But this Wonder Festival <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/winter-wonfest-2016-aquamarines-rise-kujikawa" target="_blank">their Rise caught my eye</a> (and heart) and the rest of their lineup does not disappoint! First and foremost (for me at least) is their sculpt for Elphet from Guilty Gear who is my outfit spirit animal. I want to dress like that all the time.     Winter WonFest 2016: Aquamarine

    I will freely admit that Aquamarine is one of those companies I don’t pay much attention to. But this Wonder Festival their Rise caught my eye (and heart) and the rest of their lineup does not disappoint! First and foremost (for me at least) is their sculpt for Elphet from Guilty Gear who is my outfit spirit animal. I want to dress like that all the time. Ears included.
