So did everyone else. It’s been ages since they actually did anything, and many of their in-production figures (like the damn goldfish action figure I had on order for 2 years!!) were simply cancelled or left in limbo. But apparently they were just hibernating, because they’re back with totally new branding!</p> <p>They showed off two new lines, which really just seems like a way of re-branding their image. The first, Bishojo Tairiku, is their art-based 18+ line (kind of like what Native and AlphaMax does), featuring art by Kizuki Aruchu, Koutaro, Watanabe Yoshihiro, and more! The second, Grand Toys, features more traditional licenses like <em>Cutie Honey</em>, Super Sonico, <em>Highschool DxD</em>, and <em>Silent Möbius</em>. They’ve also revived a few <em>Date A Live</em> and<em> Rozen Maiden</em> figures I thought were long gone!     I may have been disappointed with both Orchid Seed and Native, but there’s one ecchi company that always delivers: AlphaMax! They had tons of new sculpts, including several Tony Taka girls who will steal my heart, along with some new paintjobs (header Miku, their lone safe for work girl) and a handful of new announcements. They’ve got a little something for every taste, from tasteful and classy to downright strange. Check ’em out int he gallery below!

Some of their sculpts, like the recent 7 Sins figures, are totally amazing. And then they really drop the ball in terms of quality, like with their <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/amakuni-unveils-their-hestia-and-a-figure-of-momohime" target="_blank">hot springs Momohime</a> who was a bit of a hot mess. And sadly, the trend will continue with their matching Kongiku.</p> <p>In theory this is a figure I should really love. Voluptuous fox lady in a towel? But aside from her face, nothing is doing it for me. Her breast sculpt is just weird (one so squished and floating, the other normal?), and the seams on her tail are SO bad. Like, “looks like a figure from 2008” bad. I thought we were past such things! She’s so beautiful. I could do without the weird both-underboob-and-cleavage-showing bra-thing (??), but the hair? The color scheme? The HEAD WINGS? I love valkyries. I love Tony Taka. I WANT IT. And there is a nice bonus here that the MegaHouse ones don’t have: the regular edition is cast-off, so you don’t need to pay more for a pretty basic feature. However, she’s more expensive because of that (¥13,800 for the regular, ¥15,800 for the limited with a poster lol). Plus proxy fees!     The Bikini Warriors line has been TEARING ME APART, LISA. I think the concept is incredibly stupid, but I love the designs. However, they’re all freaking exclusives and cost an arm and a leg. So even though I want them, I can’t get them! Because I don’t have room in my budget for a $150 half-naked lady! I just don’t. It’s killing me. Especially when they announced the Tony Taka one, because we know I am all about that life.
