The Halo 4 Play Arts Kai were on display in full force and ready for action, but there were also lots of prototypes too. Leon S. Kennedy and Helena Harper from Resident Evil 6 were on hand along with Tom “Preacher” from Medal of Honor: Warfighter and Isaac Clarke from Dead Space 3. Major Henry Varro from Starship Troopers Invasion was also on hand, but the coolest new figure had to be Zetman, who was just simply stunning. There were also a few chibi Final Fantasy figures on display, so be sure to check it all out in the gallery.

It was no surprise then to see Tekken fighters on hand at Toy Fair via Play Arts Kai figures of Jun Kazama and Kazuya Mishima from Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Jun and Kazuya both look a tad clunky compared to other releases in the line and only come with different sets of hands, but if you want to add them to your collection, you can do so in April when both will be released for $64.99.

Shown off at Toy Fair were Sakura, Ibuki, Ken, and Guile all in their designs from Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition. I’m surprised at how well the cloth materials came out on Ibuki and Sakura despite being hard plastic and Ken and Guile come with some amazing clear plastic accessories that really add to the atmosphere. Each figure also has an alternate face as well as some other alternate parts and the line will begin being released in May with Guile and Ibuki at $69.99 each.

It seems like every time I go to a convention there’s two or more new Metal Gear Solid pieces and, well, that’s what happened here this year with Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2, and Liquid Snake from Metal Gear Solid. Also on hand was the Metal Gear Solid Rising Revengance Raiden, who will be coming out in April for $69.99 and is looking quite badass. The amount of detail on Raiden and Liquid Snake looks quite nice, so for fans of the series, these are most certainly welcomed additions to an already great line.

Lots of these little guys were on hand, and, quite honestly I had to keep reminding myself I wasn’t looking at the Gold Life series; the re-use of pieces and sculpts is a tad ridiculous and makes this feel like one of the most unoriginal Dunny releases yet. Yes, there are a few gems in the series such as the futuristic geisha and the robots, but on the whole, the series feels like it’s been released for ages (mainly because some of these have, just in different colorways). Hit the jump to take a closer look at this new series that will be dropping at the end of the month and ponder as to what most of these remotely have to do with a post apocalyptic world.

All of Kidrobot’s major announcements I can’t say a single word about, which is a tad ridiculous (why bring them if people can’t talk about them?), but let’s just say it’s one major announcement that will be integrated into lots of lines, and some are home runs and some are really big misses. There’s also a few expansions on existing lines, but again, mum’s the word.

That being said, there were a few new things on hand that I CAN tell you about: the new Major Lazer figure, which is as clunky and weird as you would expect a figure of Major Lazer to be, a new colorway of the Kozik 8″ Mecha Dunny, and a new colorway of the Chuckboy Labbit. Also on hand were a large scale vinyl figure of Cartman from South Park in his wizard outfit and a new Kozik piece called the Big Bones Labbit that I’m not quite fond of. All in all, it’s pretty clear from Kidrobot that re-colors and licensed merchandise are apparently the future of vinyl to them, which just looks like a bunch more nails waiting to go into the coffin of designer vinyl. It was nice knowing ya.

That announcement is this one: a new Hulk statue in the Avengers Fine Art Statue line! Set to come out in the 3rd quarter of this year, this green giant is looking pretty awesome! I love the angry expression on his face and his bulging muscles are quite detailed and life-like. No word yet on a price, but expect this hefty guy to come with a slightly heftier price-tag than his Avengers counterparts.

Deathstroke’s New 52 title was just recently cancelled, but apparently Kotobukiya had already been working on an ArtFX of him before this occurred. This 1/6th scale statue doesn’t really fit in with any line that Kotobukiya has as there was not 1/6th scale New 52 line in the ArtFX, so that just kind of makes this announcement even stranger. Either way he’s looking pretty badass and we’ll keep you updated on the future of this figure as I have a feeling he may never see the light of day, but as of now he’s still scheduled to come out.

Thankfully, Kotobukiya has put him in the spotlight with their new ArtFX+ statue! There was no scale listed and he only appeared in a rough 3D printed form, but he’s about 1/10th scale and quite incredibly intricate. No word yet on pricing or a release date, but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this Sith lord!

Kotobukiya today announced that they’ll be producing 1/10 scale ArtFX+ versions of each of them and I can’t wait to see how they come out! The new outfits are quite different from what we’re used to with the Avengers, but they’re also quite interesting and it’ll be interesting to see their transition to three dimensions. No word yet on other Marvel Now titles receiving figures, but I’d assume that if the Avengers sell well others may pop up. No word yet on pricing or a release date, but I’d expect these to be similar to the Justice League figures at around $40 a piece and they should start coming out towards the end of the year.
