@GeekeryDo: @mikeyturvey I agree with you. I stopped reading them because I got tired of it, though @Sir_Narwhal is correct that it's normal for comics.

@GeekeryDo: @Sir_Narwhal @mikeyturvey yeh but that's just one arc and it's easy to read it all since, as you said, it's been put together like that.

@NFern0: @Sir_Narwhal Sounds like (ohoho) specialist equipment. Black Friday is more mass consumer oriented isn't it?

Nyaruko, Japan’s cutesy personification of the Lovecraaft deity Nyarlathotep, has gotten quite a few figures since her anime aired. But none of them are quite as cute (or quite as risque!) as Max Factory’s take on the character. Which, given Max Factory’s track record, is not really that surprising.
We got to see her in person at New York Comic Con, which is nice because she’s coming out this month after some delays! I must admit I’d kind of forgotten about her, since compared to some other big releases her sculpt doesn’t seem that wow-worthy. But seeing her in the “flesh” was a nice reminder of how adorable this figure is! Well, as adorable as the crawling chaos in a naked apron can be…

Sometimes I feel like I’m the only person in the world who doesn’t hate Griffon. Yes, many of their figures are laughbly derpy and they screw up pretty often. But every once in a while they get it totally right: I dare you to look at their Ellis and tell me she sucks in any way. So open your mind up just a little, because they had a sculpt or two at WonFest that were totally awesome! Mainly the whooshy girl from Vividred Operation that looks like KOS-MOS (what’s up with that?) who I kind of need right now. Their kitty Kirino is also painfully cute, though they are doing a standing version of her that doesn’t look so hot. And their Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi line looks promising: Aoi Mukou has pink hair and is holding a cat, which I totally cannot resist, and they announced a matching Sone Miyuki.
They also had sculpts for Yukimura Kusunoki, Asuka, Nyaruko, Haruka Kotoura and Benkei Musashibou, though only the latter caught my attention. As for announcements… they had plenty! They’ll be doing Saber again (the last time she was topless!), along with the Rozen Maiden dolls. We also have Shimakaze from Kantai Collection ~Kan Colle~ (AGAIN oh my godd why is she so popular), Himawari Shinomiya in a swimsuit, Tsukiko & Tsukushi Tsutsukakushi (also in swimsuits), and lastly Yozora Mikazuki in a witch outfit (which I am very excited for–matching Sena please!)

Welcome to the week of scantily clad ladies! It seems that everyone this time around is at least partially undressed–we’ve got everything from swimsuits to maids to aprons to lingerie to cow outfits (no joke). Well, not everyone: there are some ladies with a full set of clothing, including a goth loli who has proven herself pretty popular and one of the less popular Nanoha ladies. Check them all out after the jump!

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san! has quickly become one of my favorite recent animes. I didn’t watch it or anything but it features Nyarlathotep, one of Lovecraft’s most fearsome deities in the form of an impossibly cute alien girl with a heart ahoge who runs around with a crowbar. What’s not to love? There have been a few figures of her but none of them can top Max Factory’s version of her, which was announced at Wonder Festival and colored quite recently.
It features miss Nyaruko in an apron… and that’s it. The naked apron thing seems to be a bit of a theme in Japan for some reason, not that I am going to complain. Like all of Max Factory’s ladies she looks very nice, and at 1/7 scale she’s certainly not tiny! Orders will open on the 18th.

Magazine scans always take me by surprise. Well, most of the time anyway. It’s funny, because I know they are the same night every month yet somehow I forget! So I’m just sitting around, minding my own business and indulging in sappy tv shows when BAM suddenly scans!
This month we’ve got a whole lot from MegaHouse, including a brand new boy! To be honest it’s not the most action-packed month but of course there are lots of goodies to be had. Check them all out after the jump!

AmiAmi has this nasty habit of combining our orders into big glumps that overlap between months. So, for example, we might not get some of our January stuff until the beginning of March (yet mysteriously it will be with not just February but March items as well). You may have noticed that we skipped a January loot post: well, that’s because we didn’t even get all our figures from it until a few days ago!
But thankfully January and February seemed to be smaller months than most, so we’re just going to combine them into a mega loot post! Check it all out after the jump.

Welcome to the week of girls whose name starts with Y! We’ve got Yuki, Yui, Yumi and Yami. Yup, totally not confusing at all! While there are only ten figures this week we’ve got some really great (and very expensive) ones, ranging from painfully cute to totally badass to downright confusing. So check them all out after the jump!

I have such a love-hate relatipnship with magazine scans. On one hand, it’s so much fun to see all the new goodies! On the other, it’s 3 in the morning and I wanted to catch up on Supernatural but instead I’m cropping photos. Ah, what a hard life us toy bloggers lead! Truly, we suffer for our art.
Let’s face it magazine scans the month of a Wonder Festival will be the dullest of the year. Half the stuff we’ve already seen, and there are very few new reveals. However, that doesn’t mean there is nothing at all! Some companies, like Alter, apparently think it’s fun to save their most interesting sculpt for scans instead of the event, and we’ve got double Nyaruko along with a lot more goodies!

Finally, teasers that don’t give everything away! Of course they’re not from the most exciting company, but CM’s does occasionally have a gem or two. And they are getting better! One of their teasers is for their Nyaruko who, uh, went up for order yesterday so I’m not really sure why she is here. Her eldritch partner in crime Cthuga is also being teased, and the sculpt looks really interesting.
We have two of their Senran Kagura girls: Hibari is painted and Katsuragi is sculpted! I wonder if they’ll have some new announcements as well? Well, we do have one here–Creamy Mami! How retro.

The first month of the new year means the first magazine scans of the new year! You’d think they would be a bit lackluster because companies are gearing up for their Wonder Festival reveals–but you’d be mistaken! There are many lovely ladies here as usual, including a rather stellar batch from Kotobukiya and a extra scary Cattleya, along with some nasty exclusive surprises. Check them out after the jump!
[UPDATE] Updated with a few stragglers.
