One Punch Man Archive

  • It’s that time again! Time to look at a few of the garage kits that will be on display and for sale at Wonder Festival. Of course for most of us this is just to drool over, but as always if you are attending the event each picture is labeled with the circle & character name! Also, I am insanely jealous of you. The trends this year are basically what you would expect. Tons of Re:Zero (and by that I mean tons of Rem & Ram, who cares about the other characters!), idol shows out in force, and quite a bit of Granblue Fantasy. Some old trends seem to be dying (there’s very little of Miku & Sonico compared to previous years). And, surprisingly, Cartoon Network is represented quite a bit. Check them all out in the gallery below, and let us know what you’d like to see as PVC! [via Grizzry Panda, mokupate, Volks, Kotopora, Primal Heart, fixia, Anadigi, Tinami]

  • FREEing is such a strange mix of super large bunny girls, teeny tiny swimsuit girls, random yukata girls, and then the occasional super-detailed high quality figure. Like, I never know what to expect from them… but at the same time I know exactly what to expect. This year we’ve got big ladies from God Eater, Danmachi, Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata, Expelled from Paradise, and Yatterman. Then there are tiny Vocaloids and IDOLM@STER girls. Plus, you know, a regular-sized Asuna and several others, and then (randomly) a super high quality Senritsu no Tatsumaki from One Punch Man. What is this company?? And where are the hundreds of bunny girls announcements? [via Dengeki]

  • We just found out that Sentinel and Good Smile Company would be showing off a figure of One Punch Man‘s Saitama at Anime Expo, and of course he was out on display! It’s no surprise that the pose they went with is his classic punching one–I mean, I feel like we could get 10 figures of him from 10 different companies and they’d all be in a pose like this. Or him just standing there looking doofy. What I am surprised by is how much like a US-style statue this looks. The flowing cape, the action-oriented pose: it screams superhero to me. I mean, I guess Saitama is a superhero, but it reads very much like something Kotobukiya’s statue division or DC would pop out. Usually I feel like the line between Japanese PVC and US statues is SO clear, it’s really interesting to see a figure blurring it this much. [via Atashi at mfc]

  • One Punch Man has achieved what can only be described as runaway success in both Japan and the United States, so it’s no wonder that companies want to push out the merchandise for him as fast as possible. We’ve had quite a few figures so far, and Good Smile Company & Co have given us both a Nendoroid and a figma: but you need one more thing to complete the GSC hat trick. A scale! And it seems like they’ll be delivering on that very soon–or at least Sentinel, one of their sister companies, will be. The prototype of Saitama (which is a whopping 1/6 scale!) will be on display at Anime Expo, which starts in a mere 2 days. I wonder if he’s painted, or it’s just a sculpt? Will we get a cool action pose? Only time will tell! [via Sentinel]

  • You  know what they say: new season, new prize fair! Okay, so only I say that, but it’s basically true. Prize Fairs are a never-ending event that seem to strike when the weather changes. I know it’s technically been spring for months, but here in NY it’s been incredibly chilly until just this week. Finally, warm weather! And new figures! We have quite a few awesome things here, and some less than awesome ones as well–like the incredibly creepy Disney Princess line that will haunt my dreams. But along with the nightmares are cool releases like a bunch of Dragonball Z goodies including, at long last, Mr. Satan! We’ve also got Macross, Evangelion, Miku Hatsune, Fate/Grand Order, Kantai Collection, and a whole lot more… like my persona favorite, the Okami noodle toppers. Check them all out below! [via Dengeki]

  • We’ve got a double dose of Nendoroid announcements today! Senritsu no Tatsumaki from One Punch Man, follows previous series Nendoroids Saitama and Genos, making her the 3rd we’ve seen from the show in a pretty short timeframe. I wonder if she’s the last or if we will be getting more? Also unusual is that she’s the first female Nendoroid we’ve seen so far from One Punch! Next we have one from a brand-new license: Rinsetsua from Thunderbolt Fantasy. Not gonna lie, I thought this was a Monster Hunter Nendoroid at first glance. I mean, what happened to that line? Are we getting more? Who knows! But in the meantime you can slake your thirst for elaborate armor with this guy. [via Kahotan’s Twitter]

  • We saw a lot of individual galleries from Good Smile Company this Toy Fair: figma Samus, the scaled Link, Batman & Superman Nendoroids, figma Yugi, the Zelda Nendoroid, and the Genos Nendoroid. But of course they brought so much more to the event! Like the amazingly goofy art-based figmas, the just-arrived Nendoroid Kirby (who was popular enough to get a re-release literally the day he came out), many of their Nintendo-based Nendoroids, and beautiful scaled figures like Dark Magician Girl and some of their many Mikus. We even got to see Zwyer’s Legend Of Korra figures. Check them all out in the gallery!

  • One of the most fun shows from last season was One Punch Man, a show about Saitama, the hero who can defeat enemies with one punch. Well, we’ve already got a Nendoroid of him on the way so it’s no surprise that his robot student Genos would be on the way as well. Genos is all serious business and from the face we’ve seen so far for his Nendoroid, his Nendoroid is no different and captures his show personality perfectly. The detail on his little robot arms is great for a Nendoroid and above and beyond how most others are and there’s also quite a lot of detail on his hair too. Hit the gallery to check out more of this tiny little robot hero and his adorable little serious face.

  • Welcome to another episode of “where the hell did all these figmas come from?” It’s like Nendoroids: there are just too many to keep track of. We brought you updates on a few of the big updates (Link, Deadpool, Gwendolyn). Sadly my dream figma, the Persona 3 MC, is still in the art phase while all these other guys are being announced. Life is so hard! But there’s lots of other cool things here. Like figma Ted! Just kidding, that thing is an abomination. Speaking of abominations there’s lots of Berserk news! Also Elsa, Caster, Metal Gear Solid, SAO, Samus, Kantai Collection, IDOLM@STER, Touken Ranbu, Fate/Grand Order, One Punch Man, and so much more! Hit the jump for the full gallery (and, like the Nendo roundup, a full list of all the figmas compiled by Stephen). [via WHL4U, sakai_max, shin_1, takeix, gsc_mamitan [1 2], amiami]

  • Like every year, there are too many Nendoroids. We showed you some: Sakura, Batman & Supes, Deadpool, Meta Knight, Zelda, Hotaru, and of course my boo Kylo. But there’s more. So much more, guys, I wanna cry whenever I look at this gallery. It’s TOO MANY. But, you know, they’re all cute. We’ve got more Kantai Collection Nendos than anyone needs, lots of boys from Orange Rouge including, of course, Touken Ranbu out the butt, the adorable Ainz from Overlord, Nendoroid Co:de outfits for Miku Hatsune, Fire Emblem, Mega Man, and SO MUCH MORE. Because there are so many, we have both the full gallery after the jump AND a full list of everyone (compiled by Stephen, because you all know I am too lazy for that).
