For such a popular franchise, Pokemon doesn’t get a lot of attention in the figure-world. Sure, we get some model kits and TONS of trading figures, but there are really not that many larger, detailed models of the cast or the little critters they force to fight each other. However, Banpresto is making four detailed diorama-style figures of the starters from Black & White along with one other Pokemon in their line “Pocket Monsters Museum.”
We have the three starters: Oshawott (Mijumaru), Tepig (Pokabu), and Snivy (Tsutarja). However, I prefer to call them by their pre-English announcement names: Wotter, Pig-Butt and Smugleaf. Okay, so Tepig wasn’t called Pig-Butt, I just can’t remember his internet moniker. Then we have the fourth, Zebstrike (Zebraika), which seems like a rather odd face. You’d think they’d go with one of the cute ones, but instead we get the awesome electric-donkey.
These are prize figures, so they probably won’t be too hard to come by, and I know I’d love to have some cute little Pokemon dioramas on my shelves!
