I mean, we got 2 last year, and the US seems to be the primary market for this line. Seems like they were holding out for a big double reveal!     NYCC 2017: Max Factory’s Overwatch Genji figma Gallery

    I think it came as a big surprise to all of us when Good Smile Company & co snagged the Overwatch license. But they’re really a perfect fit: we get both the cutesy Nendoroids and the articulated, true-to-model figmas. Combine that with Blizzard’s statues and there’s (almost) something for everyone.

    The figma line is moving along a bit slower than the Nendoroid one, but that’s to be expected: with the level of detail and articulation you get on a figma, you just can’t pump them out as quickly! And figma Genji is looking really amazing. Just look at that sexy robot body. Though technically he’s a cyborg, right?

    Every Wonder Festival I think to myself “there can’t possibly be even more Nendoroids at the next WonFest.” Then, like magic, the Nendo Creep happens and we get at least 5-10 more than last year at the next event. It’s a plague, a really cute plastic plague. I think they’re multiplying on their own at this point.

    This year we have a bounty of Nendos, so let’s get into it. We’ve got Ariel, Astolfo, Mordred, Lina Inverse, Yumeko Jabami from Kakegurui, Elf Yamada from Eromanga Sensei, Portal 2, KanColle, Meitantei Conan, Beatrice from Re;Zero, Wonder Woman, Overwatch, Mega Man, The Snack World, Sword Art Online, Fullmetal Alchemist, and so much more. But of course they had more than 3 figures out! That would be pretty odd, right? A big booth with just 3 things. Very ominous.</p> <p>Anyway, they had lots of their more US-centric licenses out on display, like the Naruto Nendoroids… which are USA only! Weird, right? But cool. There was also a lot of Zelda, <em>Dota 2</em>, Fire Emblem, Metroid, <em>Suicide Squad</em>, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and of course… that <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/many-disney-nendoroids-are-on-the-way" target="_blank">amazing Disney announcement</a>.
