  • It’s time to accelerate! Funko’s Overwatch line has certainly been successful, but everyone wants their main to be released ASAP. Which is a problem when there’s, like, two dozen characters. But they’re working as fast as they can! Wave 2 was on display at Toy Fair, and it includes D.Va (in mech), Lucio, Mei, McCree, Symmetra, and Reinhardt. I’m still sad there is no tiny Bastion, but perhaps wave 3 will finally fill my robot dreams.

  • So it seems like over at Tokyo Tower Good Smile Company and Co sat around and were like, “Well, how can we print money fastest?” Then they turned to some intern that’s done nothing but play Overwatch for like 1000 hours since release like the rest of the damn world and the onslaught of figures began. First we got Tracer as a Nendoroid, then announcements of Mei and Mercy, and now we’ve got an announcement of figma Tracer! The party doesn’t stop! Give me all of them as Nendoroids, figmas, and scaled figures now! [UPDATE] Hold onto your ninjas, there’s a Genji figma as well [via TokyoOtakuMode’s Twitter]

  • It’s only been a hot minute since we found out there were Overwatch Nendoroids at all. I mean, we just got a good look at Tracer today! But already we know the next two in the line: Mei and Mercy. I know, I know, where is D.Va. That’s what everyone is thinking. But I think Mercy is a really great choice, imagine her little wings on a Nendo body! And, of course, they hope to do many many more character than just these (so your fave will probably get made).

  • I think we’re all still riding the hype train of the Overwatch Nendoroid line. I mean, it came out of nowhere (just like Tracer herself), and it’s such a huge license. So much potential! But of course before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s take a look at the one cutie who is already up for order: Tracer. We were lucky enough to get an up-close out-of-the-glass peek at her. Look at the detail! Look at how crisp the lines are! I’m amazed that they packed so much into such a tiny figure. And she’s got so much personality, too.

  • You know, some of us have plans on Valentine’s Day. Plans that involve, you know, going out to fancy dinner. And writing up toy news too, I guess. That’s right, Good Smile decided that vday was the best day to drop the world’s biggest news bomb. They’re doing Overwatch Nendoroids! Tracer is already sculpted, painted, and… up for order?! Oh, and it’s the ‘classic skin edition’ which kind of implies more variants. What is happening. This is certainly great news for Overwatch fans, and I’m sure we are all hoping for a ton more at Wonder Festival. Lil angsty Reaper, maybe? Though I know D-VA is practically guaranteed if they continue on with the line. That’s right, that amazing custom might not be just a pipe dream… Pre-Order At: HLJ | AmiAmi | GSC

  • Overwatch is definitely the game of the moment, but given that it’s a US game we’re not likely to see many figures from it. I mean, many PVC figures, I’m sure we’ll get POPs of every character and all their alternate skins by the time Funko is done with them. But man, I’m sure we all want a really cool scaled figure of our mains. It’s not going to happen, but a girl can dream. And if you’re a talented customizer, you can just make it yourself! That’s what the awesome Gale XV did with this D.Va Nendoroid. Using parts from Agaki, Rider, Elsa, and Snow Miku 2016 they’ve crafted not only a perfect D.Va but a totally amazing and immersive setup for her. Burgers on the table! Bunnies on the ground! Even a tv all set up to play the game. I’m so impressed by this–GSC, people would pay good money for some production Overwatch Nendos! We all want a tiny edgelord harassing our collection.
