Good Smile Company’s Kouka Finally Appears!

Way back in January, we got word that that a second Beatless figure would be joining Lacia. It’s been quite some time since then, with absolutely no news about her, but I had faith! Mostly because I just really, really wanted to see that design as a figure. Well, out of the blue, we have some images of the sculpt! It’s obviously far from finished, but we know that the amazing Toda Satoshi will be the one sculpting this piece. The work so far on it looks amazing, and I absolutely can’t wait to see her painted and next to the gorgeous Lacia.

[UPDATE] This sculpt by Satoshi will be sold at WonFest Winter 2013: while GSC hasn’t officially even announced this figure (the original announcement was by Redjuice), I think at the moment we can assume that this will probably be the sculpt picked up by GSC since they have worked with Toda Satoshi many times before.

It got a Nendoroid and a figma but no figure, which disappointed me–until now! While this is a blurry image, this figure looks absolutely, jaw-droppingly stunning. I mean, THAT HAIR! Hopefully we get some closer shots of her later on, because I have to own this!

[via Figure/GK]

Winter Wonder Festival 2012: GSC’s Racing Miku 2011

There’s a reason I put Good Smile Company’s Lacia on our Favorite Figures of 2011 list after having her for only a day! Lacia was part of the Beatless introduction set and came with one other item: an artbook featuring concept art for the Beatless light novel. When flipping through the artbook, I was practically drooling over the idea of more figures from the series, but it seemed like Good Smile Company had no plans of making more of the weapon girls.

However, as a commenter over at MFC pointed out, Redjuice slyly announced a figure of the red-headed weapon Kouka on his Deviantart. Kouka has a fantastic design, and the pose they picked is so interesting and unique. I think if they can pull off her odd skin texture she will be even better than Lacia! There’s still no “official” announcement but I think chances are high that this will either be announced or even shown off at Winter Wonder Festival.

Redjuice Confirms A Second Beatless Figure

Redjuice is one of my favorite illustrators and Sakurano is one of my favorite sculptors, and when they come together magic happens. There’s a reason I put Good Smile Company’s Lacia on our Favorite Figures of 2011 list after having her for only a day!
