Posted by Leah Bayer on September 30, 2011 | 3 CommentsWelcome to another week of “things that take all of your money!” This week was pretty decent as far as the number of figures goes, though there are some real… doozies in there, like the Daiki Cattleya and some of Q-six’s baffling offerings. But with the bad comes the good, and there were indeed some very lovely figures this week, like Good Smile Company’s Homura and a delicious pair of exclusives. So hit the jump and let’s get started!
Posted by Leah Bayer on September 27, 2011 | 1 CommentSometimes, good things require patience. Example: Griffon’s long-awaited Reiuji figure, which was teased 6 months ago. That may not seem like a long time, but between then and now several brand-new girls were teased, sculpted, and put up for order. Heck, I think some of them are set for release this month! So fans have been waiting patiently for one of Touhou’s most epic characters, the winged girl whose powers come from nuclear energy! I think this might be the best of Griffon’s current Touhou lineup. The sculpt is amazing, just look at the detail on her wings! And she space effect on her cape is incredibly well executed. Of course, Griffon is not known for delivering products that look just like the promotional shots, but they have greatly improved recently so I am highly anticipating this release and will definitely be putting in an order the second she goes up! Posted by Leah Bayer on August 27, 2011 | 2 CommentsSince Chara Hobby is so close to Summer WonFest, there usually aren’t a whole lot of new items shown off. However, companies always seem to save some special announcements for this event, and they’re usually pretty interesting! I mean, everyone expected GSC to make Madoka figures. But some of the biggest surprises, like Kotobukiya making Persona 4 One Coin figures or Max Factory’s double dose of Samus, are saved for today! So hit the jump to check out all of the new goodies on display at Chara Hobby. Updated with new information!
