I mean, she’s kind of the hero, so you would expect a little more merch. But it took two movies for us to finally get a Nendoroid of her! But yes, it’s finally happening: Rey Nendoroid!

I’m going to be honest: I’m a little disappointed by this release. It’s really lacking in accessories (we basically only get lightsabers), and I wish we’d gotten a hair-up option. Or at least a mini Porg! She still looks pretty cute though, and ¥4,800 (and a July release) isn’t exactly going to break the bank. But I’m a little more hyped for the Kylo re-release because I missed him the first time around!

Pre-order at: AmiAmi | HLJ | Hobby Search

Save The Galaxy With Star Wars Nendoroid Rey

In a galaxy far, far away, Good Smile Company was plotting on how to take all of our money…

Kotobukiya brought the whole lot of their Episode VII: The Force Awakens ArtFX+ figures including the new and amazing First Order Stormtrooper FN-2199 that comes with a blaster and whatever the electro thing is that he used in his fight with Finn. There were also some new additions to the original trilogy line namely, a Return of the Jedi Luke to go with the Darth Vader that is already released (and seen with Luke, that’s not a new figure for those wondering), and also a new standing Emperor Palpatine and Imperial Guard set.

I’m personally loving the Luke and Vader together as it recreates quite an iconic moment in the series and I’m also loving both Palpatine figures who would be great for randomly placing around your house to scare others. Check out the gallery below and expect even more of an onslaught of figures come next year after Episode VIII is out.

They’ve always done a lot with the franchise, but given that we have new, actually good movies I guess it’s not really a shock that we’re not getting bombarded with it! There’s a lot to cover so let’s jump right in.

We got the rough concept sculpts for the Finn & Rey ArtFX+, along with an announcement for Poe & BB-8 and Chewbacca and Han!. They also had the sculpt for the Obi-Wan ArtFX+, along with the tragically hilarious news that he will come with an empty cape to display if you prefer Dead-Kenobi. They had quite a few new troopers: thew Snowtrooper & Flametrooper 2 pack, FN-2199, Scarif Stormtrooper, Death Trooper 2-pack, and a Death Trooper ArtFX. They will also be expanding the Droid line with R4 and R5 sculpts!
