So, every once in a while Mikatan’s blog messes up and posts something early. The posts aren’t done on a day-to-day basis as we’re lead to believe, but stockpiled and put up every night. So sometimes, things go wrong, and we get to see figures like… 12 hours early! It’s thrilling!
That’s exactly what happened with the new Cheerful Japan figures. They are, surprisingly, brand-new! It’s Saber and Rin from Fate/Stay Night in cute cheer outfits. Unlike the Steins;Gate set, these are entirely new head-sculpts. Saber now has a long, elegant braid and Rin… well, this is the first time we’ve seen a real Rin Nendoroid! It seems like these are probably not all of the pictures we’ll be getting, as we can only see one expression for each of them and only one accessory (color-coordinated pom poms). You can check out their original page here, but it’s totally blank!
We do, however, have ordering info on these cuties. Orders start the 11th and end the 28th, and like all of the Cheerful Japan stuff they’re a GSC exclusive and shipping will be 2k no matter how you buy. You should be able to get up to 5 in one order too! No price is known yet, but it’s safe to say that it will be ¥6,000 like the other Nendo set, with a release in late Spring.
[UPDATE] The last two pictures have finally appeared–Saber & Rin come with a cute banner and really awesome alternate faces! They look a lot like the faces from the old Hetare Nendos, only updated and a bit more refined. As we assumed, the set is ¥6,000 and will be released in May.
