Sachiko Koshimizu Archive

  • Once again, Alter’s event booth is totally dominated by idol girls (and some idol boys!). Oddly enough, I kind of hate watching all those shows but I passionately love the figures. Who knows with these things. And oh boy is this a good year for idol-loving peeps. Their stunning Ranko is painted, along with Sachiko. We’ve got the world’s freaking cutest Anzu Futaba and a sassy as hell Shiki Ichinose. As for Love Live!, there are new figures of Rin Hoshizora and Hanayo Koizumi. For the boys, we have Ai Mikaze and Ranmaru Kurosaki from Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ painted and Camus is sculpted. The much-anticipated Okoi from Oboro Muramasa is here, and we have an announcement for Torahime! There was a surprise sculpt for SAO‘s Sinon, the casual Lancer sculpt, Ikumi Mito it painted, and we’ve got a very suggestive maid Lala. Oh, and Santa Alter Saber is on display too! It’s so weird and over the top but I love Christmas figures. [via AmiAmi’s Twitter]

  • Most shows do not get mini-events where the figures on display are 99% from it. But somehow, IDOLM@STER consistently does! Probably because every company under the sun has made at least one of the girls, so there is always a lot of news. And this event is no exception. There was so much on display! Alpha x Omega’s Nao Kamiya, Rin Shibuya, and Karen Houjou trio is painted, as is Alter’s Love Laika set of Minami Nitta, Ranko Kanzaki, and Anastasia. Alter also had two new announcements: Uzuki Shimamura and Shiki Ichinose. Oh, and the sculpt for Sachiko Koshimizu on display. Alter, calm down! Wave, a company that’s very much fallen out of popularity, was on hand with a few girls. Mika Jougasaki is painted, and they had a sculpt for swimsuit Ranko along with the announcement for a Beach Queen Nitta. Last but not least, Kotobukiya brought a few girls! They had a surprise sculpt for Yuki Himekawa along with an announcement for Cu-Poche Kaede Takagaki. [UPDATE] Added two of Phat’s figures! [via whitenoize & figsoku]

  • It’s that time of the month! Good Smile Company is giving us a peek at some upcoming goodies, and this is one of the most exciting previews we’ve had in a while! If you’re a fan of scaled figures, that is, because there wasn’t a whole lot of Nendo-figma action going on. In fact there was only one figma (Uno Uzume, who we just saw in scans) and a single Nendoroid (Suigintou). There were other Nendos & figmas there but they were either 1) already up for order or 2) images we’ve already seen. But man oh man do we have some juicy scaled figure news. Phat! Company’s Miki Hoshii is painted (and utter perfection), but that’s not the only IDOLM@STER news–their lovely Sachiko Koshimizu popped up as well with a base that’s just freaking awesome. Last but certainly not least, it’s Good Smile Company’s Wo-Class (who happens to be my favorite KanColle girl!). Ahh, so pretty. [via Figure/GK and mfc]

  • Spring is in the air. Birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and figure events are happening! Good Smile always seems to dominate Miyazawa Model Exibition, which is a relatively small event, and they brought a ton of goodies this year. We’ve got a closer look at Phat! Company’s recently announced Ranko, their Sachiko Koshimizu is painted, and we also have the sculpt for Kosaki Onodera. From Penguin Parade we have the sculpts for Mutsu and Nagato from Kantai Collection that we saw at Wonder Festival, along with Max Factory’s cute-but-almost-creepy I-58. And last but not least, Good Smile Company themselves! They brought Saber Extra (no differences, though there is a look at the fabled butt window), and their Gray Fullbuster from Fairy Tail is fully painted & sculpted. Added Good Smile Company’s Mio Honda! [via Kahotan’s Twitter]

  • Before Cinderella Girls, Good Smile & co didn’t pay too much attention to the franchise. And by that I mean.. they didn’t pay any attention. But that all changed recently, and we have oodles of IM@S girls at WonFest! Phat! Company’s Rika Jougasaki is painted, and they’ve got Sachiko Koshimizu here as well (though with no updates). From GSC themselves there’s Mio Honda, along with some girls from the original IM@S: a figma of Hibiki Ganaha and Phat! Company will be taking on Takane Shijou. [UPDATE] Updated with Phat!’s Yayoi [via Earlbox’s Flickr]

  • IDOLM@STER used to get attention from one figure company: MegaHouse. Yeah, that was it. Sure, they gave us a lot of figures, but there was no variety! Well the recenet spinoff IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, whose immensely cuter idols have caused a bit of a ruckus in the figure community, showed up at full force at WonFest. First off we’ve got the just-announced Uzuki Shimamura next to a sign for Mio Honda as Good Smile’s next idol, along with two of the girls Phat! Company announced last wonder festival: Sachiko Koshimizu and Rika Jougasaki. Rika is so cute I could die, THAT HEART oh my goddd. We’ve also got some non-Cinderella girl related items, so don’t worry classic IDOLM@S fans. Chihaya is getting a figma and Phat!’s figure of Hibiki is painted. Oh… and they have the world’s friggin cutest Iori on display as well as an announcement for Yayoi. OH HAPPY DAY! [via earlbox & figure/GK]

  • Remember when Phat! Company was a dinky little manufacturer that barely made any figures? Well that’s obviously changed recently, but it seems like they are taking on some more challenging sculpts this year! First off we’ve got two Type-Moon girls: Jack the Ripper from Fate/Apocrypha (based on that amazing gk) and Caster Extra in her fancy Fate/Extra CCC outfit! She sure looks better than the first version (review). Then we’ve got a trio of IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls figures: Mika Jougasaki, Sachiko Koshimizu, and Hibiki Gahana. Wait… she’s not a Cinderella Girl! I know someone who will be very happy at this announcement. Then, last but not least, an announcement for Kyouko Kirigi from Dangan-Ronpa. Hooray! [UPDATE] We now have shots of Sawa Okita from Tari Tari and the older Totori! [via AmiAmi’s Facebook & Akibahobby’s Twitter]
