Yet I can’t be anything but bitter about Bandai’s<em> Sailor Moon Crystal</em> Figuarts ZERO. <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/bandai-shows-off-their-new-sailor-moon-goodies" target="_blank">Sailor Moon</a> had terrible quality control and was overpriced, but it’s worse with the other senshi: they’re all exclusive.</p> <p>Since then we’ve gotten lovely figures of <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/cry-over-this-gallery-of-bandais-crystal-sailor-mars" target="_blank">Mars</a> and <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/bandais-figuarts-zero-sailor-mercury-is-an-exclusive" target="_blank">Mercury</a> that you need to pay an arm and a leg for, along with painted Jupiter. Of course they’re not going to stop with 4 out of the 5, so it’s no surprise that Sailor Venus popped up at the Toyko event.     Sailor Venus Crystal Gets A Figuarts ZERO

    Sailor Moon is the show that got me into anime, so of course it holds a special place in my heart. Yet I can’t be anything but bitter about Bandai’s Sailor Moon Crystal Figuarts ZERO. Sailor Moon had terrible quality control and was overpriced, but it’s worse with the other senshi: they’re all exclusive.

    Since then we’ve gotten lovely figures of Mars and Mercury that you need to pay an arm and a leg for, along with painted Jupiter.     It seems like Bandai is up to their old tricks again.     Bandai’s Figuarts ZERO Sailor Venus Is A Heartbreaker

    You know, when Bandai first announced the Figuarts Zero line of Sailor Moon figures we all thought it was great news for the collecting community. Who knew how wrong we would be! Sure, Sailor Moon turned out great, but then they went and made Sailor Mercury (who had an infinitely better pose and base) and exclusive. And then the train of doom continued with the news that Venus would be an exclusive as well. I have a sinking feeling that Mars and Jupiter are headed down the same path.

    Magazine Scans Preview Bandai’s Sailor Venus & Sailor Saturn

    Once again, magazine scans are all whack this month. I thought it would just be February because of Wonder Festival, but it is March now and… we are still not getting a full batch? Ah well. We do have some new information at least, including peeks at Bandai’s Sailor Moon line.

When I was 5, my friend and I got our hands on some Sailor Moon paper dolls and played with them until they wore thin. And it was the first anime I ever watched: I distinctly remember my mom walking in the room and asking me why naked ladies were spinning around on the tv. So of course this flood of Sailor Moon merchandise warms my cold, dead heart, and Bluefin had a whole lot of Bandai’s new lineup at Toy Fair!</p> <p>We’ve seen the <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/toy-fair-2014-bandais-figuarts-zero-sailor-moon" target="_blank">Figuarts ZERO Sailor Moon</a> at Diamond’s booth, but they had her here too, along with the <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/toy-fair-2014-figuarts-zero-sailor-mercury" target="_blank">Figuarts Zero Sailor Mercury</a>. We have had one set of petit-style trading figures, but fans are pretty desperate for some non-jointed, properly proportioned sailor scouts. And finally, our wish is being granted!

    And, no surprise, they’re coming from Bandai. But they look freaking awesome, so I’m not going to complain. We get all the scouts and Luna & Artemis! And at ¥4,980 a box–which, yes, is expensive for trading figures. But come on, it’s Sailor Moon. They know we’re gonna pay up no matter what.
