  • <p><a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/sdcc-2017-nendoroid-tinker-bell/attachment/tinkheader" rel="attachment wp-att-81707"></a></p> <p>I think we were all a little surprised when Good Smile Company announced <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/many-disney-nendoroids-are-on-the-way" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">a veritable truckload of Disney Nendoroids</a> last year. What’s more surprising is how fast the line is going considering how picky I’m sure Disney is: we already have <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/good-smile-unveils-disney-nendoroid-belle" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Belle</a> and <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/anime-expo-2017-good-smile-company-co" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Rapunzel</a>, and now it’s Tinker Bell’s turn! Seems like they are going to be tackling them in the (general) order they are on the reveal poster.</p> <p>I think Tinker Bell perfectly fits in with the Nendoroid shape. She’s so cute and tiny! Look at that lil angry face!     SDCC 2017: Nendoroid Tinker Bell

    I think we were all a little surprised when Good Smile Company announced a veritable truckload of Disney Nendoroids last year. What’s more surprising is how fast the line is going considering how picky I’m sure Disney is: we already have Belle and Rapunzel, and now it’s Tinker Bell’s turn! Seems like they are going to be tackling them in the (general) order they are on the reveal poster.

    I think Tinker Bell perfectly fits in with the Nendoroid shape. She’s so cute and tiny! Look at that lil angry face! I hope the blush is this strong on the final product because it really adds a lot to her character.

What I didn’t expect was two Bishes at once from the oft-neglected Street Fighter line: they have a new Cammy as well!</p> <p>It makes sense since these two were <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/check-out-street-fighter-bishoujo-chun-lis-new-face" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">released quite close together</a> in their original versions, and it’s kind of amazing to see how far the line has come since then. There is so much more detail here!     SDCC 2017: Street Fighter Bishoujos Chun-Li & Cammy

    We’ve known for a while now that Kotobukiya would be doing a second version of Bishoujo Chun-Li, and I think most of us expected her to pop up at San Diego Comic Con. What I didn’t expect was two Bishes at once from the oft-neglected Street Fighter line: they have a new Cammy as well!

    It makes sense since these two were released quite close together in their original versions, and it’s kind of amazing to see how far the line has come since then. There is so much more detail here! Those thighs on Chun-Li, man, they’re something else.

    SDCC 2017: Ikemen Nightwing & Red Hood

    It has been almost exactly a year since Kotobukiya announced the Ikemen line, which is a male companion to the Bishoujos. Cute boys with cute butts doing cute things, finally! It seems that there has been a lot of work put into this line, because progress has been slow and they’re really trying to make it perfect. Both for us, of course, and for the ever-fickle DC.

    Now, finally, we are getting a peek at the fully sculpted & painted Nightwing! Look at that booty, it’s a thing of beauty. And his face is so sassy! We also got the full art for the next in the line, Red Hood. He looks so grumpy and adorable. Feeling a little tsundere, Jason?

    SDCC 2017: Bishoujo Supergirl Version 2

    Just a few months ago we found out that Kotobukiya would be doing a second, updated Bishoujo of Supergirl, spurred on by the success of the tv show. They have redone quite a few girls recently, especially in the Marvel & DC lines, but I really didn’t expect a second version of Supergirl any time soon! And now it’s time for the full sculpt reveal.

    We already knew that we would be getting a Bishoujo of Ash from Evil Dead 2 at San Diego Comic Con, and now it’s time for the full reveal! She is, of course, in a rather sassy pose with a very smug face. And she comes with a CHAINSAW. Bishoujo chainsaw, dreams really do come true.

    Kotobukiya always has quite a few Bishoujo announcements and updates at San Diego Comic Con, and our first full reveal is a Bishoujo of Captain Marvel! This is an unexpected but pleasant surprise. Their original Ms Marvel is one of my favorites in the line, and I can’t wait to get an updated version of the character.

    Plus I am very happy they included the short hair! Usually the Bish line goes for sexy flowing locks but I love her more rugged and cool look here. Think we’ll get an alternate hemleted head?

    Kotobukiya Teases An Evil Dead Bishoujo

    We are just days away from SDCC 2017, which means teasers of course! Kotobukiya always has a lot of new announcements at the event, but this one is certainly unexpected.     The focus at Kotobukiya’s US event booths is, predictably, more on the comic and movie side of things. Lots of Bishoujos, lots of ArtFX and statues. But they always bring a few anime figures to the table, and one of my most anticipated ones from them was at SDCC: Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell ARISE!
