Sena Kashiwazaki Archive

  • It has been two years since ques Q first showed off their design for Boku wa Tomodachi‘s Sena in her blacksmith outfit. And then… nothing! The sculpt went into one of those weird limbos, and I was pretty sure we’d never see her again. Thankfully I was wrong, and they dug her out of whatever closet she was hiding in, painted her, and have prepared this cutie for orders. Sadly, this is one of those situations where time is not your friend. I was all about this sculpt when it first rolled out, but now? Not so much. The breast sculpt is just… no thank you, and there’s so little detail in the outfit, her hair, and the hammer. Sure, she has a nice butt, but is it worth ¥12,500? Because that’s how much she will cost you. Ouch. [via ques Q]

  • Gift never has a big showing at events, seeing as how they make 3-5 figures a year, but there’s always one or two figures worth talking about! This time the star is their Prisma Illya who is SO CUTE I AM GONNA DIE. And there’s more Fate/Stay Night goodies: they’re picking up Toda Satoshi’s Meltlillith and making a Jeanne d’Arc to boot. Then we’ve got a 1/7 scale swimsuit figure of Charlotte Dunois (who seems shockingly popular this WonFest), and updated pictures of their giant Sena and Tiger Parka Soniko. [via GSC]

  • Gift is very selective about the figure sculpts they take on. They produce a handful of figures a year, and it’s always an odd mix: super stylized things like King Arthur or Toda’s Homura, and then giant bikini babes. Yeah, strange to say the least. Their newest addition to the swimsuit line? Sena Kashiwazaki from Haganai. She reminds me very strongly of their Tamaki, only with a derpy face. It’s like… almost Sena, but not quite right. Let’s hope it turns out better with paint! And speaking of their swimsuit figures, I see a big Soniko on their horizon… [note: also in the gallery are Gift’s trio of Fate, Nanoha & Hayate loli 1/4 scale figures and their 1/7 Houki Shinonono] [via Akibahobby]

  • It was only a little over a year ago that Max Factory put up for order their adorable (and controversial) Haganai duo of Maria & Kobato in kitty outfits. They’re at it again, though this time the age of the (imaginary & fictional) girls is a bit clearer so there won’t be any uhh imaginary ethical plastic figure girl issues to ponder. That’s right, we are getting kitty Sena & Yozora! The colors aren’t really working for me: I’d like to see Sena in pink and Yozora in black, but I’ll take what I can get. Also, why no long hair Yozora. ;~; So far, definitely liking the first set more. [via fc2]

  • We tend to focus on PVC coverage during Wonder Festival because, well… those are the things most of us can buy! But really, there are about ten times as many garage kits at the event as pre-painted PVC. Actually… that might be underestimating it, the garage kit area is HUGE! We’ve already shown you some of the kits that will be at the event like Purple Heart, Yagyuu Toshiyuki’s Marisa Kirisame, an acrobatic Saber Bride, chibi Saber Lily, Toda Satoshi’s terrifying Passionlip, and Coneckers’ Momiji. But of course there are a ton more, and we’ve got some really lovely kits this time around. My personal favorites are Vispo’s astonishing Jeanne d’Arc & her horse–though Jeanne seems very popular this WonFest!–, the bathing suit IDOLM@STER trio, the gory Labrys, and Atelier Hiro’s punk rock Miku Hatsune. And my oh my do we have a lot of Mikus. Chec them all out (and plenty more) in the gallery! • Welcome to the week of scantily clad ladies! It seems that everyone this time around is at least partially undressed–we’ve got everything from swimsuits to maids to aprons to lingerie to cow outfits (no joke). Well, not everyone: there are some ladies with a full set of clothing, including a goth loli who has proven herself pretty popular and one of the less popular Nanoha ladies. Check them all out after the jump!

  • Okay, what is up with the influx of Haganai figures at this event? First Kobato, then Sena, now a second Sena?! Well I’m not going to complain since I am a big fan of the character design. AlphaMax has already taken on miss Sena, but this time she is in 1/6 scale and in her infamous cow outfit. Not something you see a lot of! It’s just ridiculous, in a hilariously good way. The second figure is another Tony Taka girl from them, this time an original (and NSFW) character. Recently they’ve been doing the ladies from Fault!, and pretty darn well. AlphaMax seems to have really gotten the hang of his faces, and this is one of the best renditions of his art I’ve seen. Good job, AlphaMax! [via AlphaMax]

  • Aoshima doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to figures–in fact it’s pretty terrible, so whenever they show off a decent figure I’m hesitant to get excited. But they did have one cute figure on display at Miyazawa Model Exhibition, a swimsuit version of Sena! She already has quite a few but this one is different for a number of reasons. One, she’s wearing a shirt and two, she’s sitting. I do love a sitting figure! She also seems to come with two faces, and the shirt is removable. I’m not totally sold on the face but I would be pleased if Aoshima could pull this off. I mean, who doesn’t need more Meat in their life? [via Akibahobby]

It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even remember when they were supposed to be released. I do know that for both these ladies, it’s over a six month delay period since they’ve been pushed back from April to May. They better come out flawless on release or Good Smile is going to have some very angry customers… [via GSC]

  • AmiAmi has this nasty habit of combining our orders into big glumps that overlap between months. So, for example, we might not get some of our January stuff until the beginning of March (yet mysteriously it will be with not just February but March items as well). You may have noticed that we skipped a January loot post: well, that’s because we didn’t even get all our figures from it until a few days ago! But thankfully January and February seemed to be smaller months than most, so we’re just going to combine them into a mega loot post! Check it all out after the jump.
