Shizuo Heiwajima Archive

  • Orange Caramel is Good Smile Company’s new all-boy imprint, much like how Alter has Altair. And they really brought a lot to Wonder Festival! I mean, like 90% of them are from Touken Ranbu, but it’s still a lot of stuff! Let’s start with the non-Touken. We are getting figmas of Izaya Orihara and Shizuo Heiwajima from Durarara! So what Touken Ranbu stuff are we getting? Scales of Nakigitsune, Gokotai, Mikazuki Munechika (who is sculpted!), Yamatonokami Yasusada, Kashuu Kiyomitsu, and Shishiou. There’s a lot of Nendoroids, too! Shokudaikiri Mitsutada is sculpted, then we have announcements for Yagen Toushirou and Ichigo Hitofuri. Not enough? We’re getting figFIX too. Phew, so many boys! • Welcome to two months of loot in one! Actually it’s kind of three: as you may or may not have noticed, we didn’t have a August loot post either. It’s a long story, but basically AmiAmi has been smushing our orders together oddly so we get things late (but some early–most of our October was here before the September items). So some August items squeaked their way in! Hit the jump to get started on our most action-packed loot post yet.

  • Welcome to another week of figure goodness! After last week’s figure madness I expected a bit of a cooldown this week and indeed there was. While there wasn’t a lot going on this week in terms of numbers, we did get some really spectacular and long-awaited releases like Blanc and Jack Frost. There are also a ton of re-releases, several sexy boys, and a Kanu I actually want! So hit the jump to check them all out.

  • Alter’s Durarara!! line has proven to be quite popular, especially the Altair additions. Usually female figures sell a lot better than male ones but at least from what I’ve seen Izaya seems far more popular than Celty. Their third figure is also part of the Altair line, Shizuo Heiwajima who we first saw painted at Wonder Festival. Now it’s time for a sexy preview of this guy, and while I originally complained about his boring pose I think Alter did a lovely job of keeping him interesting. He has a hell of a lot of attitude for someone just standing there! He also comes with several interchangeable parts: his glasses can be taken off and his weapon-wielding hand can be swapped for one held cockily in his pocket. There’s also an interesting shot of him with Izaya and Celty: however, Celty is in one of the production phases so she is pretty funky-looking–check it out in the gallery! Shizuo should be going up for order on March 14th. [via Altair’s Blog]

  • The night before Wonder Festival, Alter teased their Shizuo from Durarara!! As I suspected the pose is painfully boring but the sculpting and paint are great, and his sign is pretty cool. It seems like he’s trying a little too hard to be a badass to me, with a cigarette in hand and casually holding a sign as a weapon. I don’t like him as much as the others in the line, but I am sure the fangirls will go crazy! [via suuuun’s Twitter]

  • Alter has been working on the cast of Durarara!! recently, with the latest addition being Celty. Now it seems that the last announced figure in the line, Shizuo Heiwajima, is finished as well! His pose is, well, a bit boring compared to the other two, but as always with Alter the finish looks stunning and at least he has a cool sign/weapon. He’ll be at Wonder Festival tomorrow in all his glory, along with whatever other new figures Alter has planned! [via the Altair Blog]
