    SDCC 2017: Street Fighter Bishoujos Chun-Li & Cammy

    We’ve known for a while now that Kotobukiya would be doing a second version of Bishoujo Chun-Li, and I think most of us expected her to pop up at San Diego Comic Con. What I didn’t expect was two Bishes at once from the oft-neglected Street Fighter line: they have a new Cammy as well!

    It makes sense since these two were released quite close together in their original versions, and it’s kind of amazing to see how far the line has come since then. There is so much more detail here! Those thighs on Chun-Li, man, they’re something else.

They have redone quite a few girls recently, especially in the Marvel & DC lines, but I really didn’t expect a second version of Supergirl any time soon! And now it’s time for the full sculpt reveal.

    We already knew that we would be getting a Bishoujo of Ash from Evil Dead 2 at San Diego Comic Con, and now it’s time for the full reveal! She is, of course, in a rather sassy pose with a very smug face. And she comes with a CHAINSAW. Bishoujo chainsaw, dreams really do come true.

    But that’s not all the news we have for you! Oh no, something I have been joking about since the inception of the Horror Bishoujo line is happening. We’re getting Pinhead in Bishoujo form!     Kotobukiya always has quite a few Bishoujo announcements and updates at San Diego Comic Con, and our first full reveal is a Bishoujo of Captain Marvel! This is an unexpected but pleasant surprise. Their original Ms Marvel is one of my favorites in the line, and I can’t wait to get an updated version of the character.

    Kotobukiya Teases An Evil Dead Bishoujo

    We are just days away from SDCC 2017, which means teasers of course! Kotobukiya always has a lot of new announcements at the event, but this one is certainly unexpected.     Kotobukiya’s DC Bishoujo Katana Is Sculpted

    It’s been like a mini Bishoujo festival these past few days! First the art for Chun-Li and Supergirl, and now we’re getting a look at the sculpt for Katana, whose illustration was revealed at Toy Fair.     Check Out The Art For The New Chun-Li Bishoujo

    I’m going to be honest: when Kotobukiya announced a version 2 Chun-Li Bishoujo, I wasn’t exactly over the moon. I like the first one well enough, and do we really need another of her when there are so many awesome Street Fighter ladies waiting in the wings? Survey says… maybe we do!

    I actually like this art a lot more than I thought I would. I mean, I don’t understand how anyone could fight with their boobs flopping all over the place (the pain), but I love how ripped she looks. Talk about thighs that could crush your head! Plus the long hair shockingly suits her. What do you Plastikitties think?

But here we are, living in the future.     Toy Fair 2017: Kotobukiya’s Kill Bill Bishoujo Gallery

    When Kotobukiya started the Movie Bishoujo line, I never in a million years would have guessed that there would be a Tarantino girl in the mix. But here we are, living in the future. A future of Kill Bill Bishoujos.

    While I’m not a huge fan of the movie and thus not enthused about the Bishoujo, it’s still neat to see the detail work put into some of her sculpt. Take the shoes, for instance: they’re actually modeled exactly on the ones Uma wears in the film, and they had to be approved by Asics. Apparently it took a ton of attempts until they were absolutely perfect. One of those things you never really think about when looking at a figure, right? Maybe this is why most anime girls just wear generic loafers or heels…
