If you’re a long-time Plastikitty reader, you probably already know that Shunya Yamashita has illustrated pretty much the entirety of the Tekken cast already. The most important is probably Michelle Chang, who as we’ve surmised is probably the next Tekken Bishoujo. Jun Kazama Is The Next Tekken Bishoujo

Well we don’t have her (yet!) but we did get to take a look at her out of her glass prison at Toy Fair!

As you can clearly see, the tongue issue has been fixed in that it no longer looks like it’s a fat lip, and her eyes are also much more clearly defined! Since she is close to release this is pretty darn close to what the final model will look like, and I for one think she’s looking a hell of a lot better than the promotional images here. I’m even more excited now!

Winter Wonder Festival 2013: Bishoujos Chun-Li And Xiaoyu

In fact, we’ve know about the art for Xiaoyu for AGES but we are finally getting a “second” official confirmation.

She popped up in magazine scans and I was… less than thrilled with the paint job. Now we’re getting a full look and I just… I don’t have words. Okay, let’s start with the positive. Her frilly pink outfit is adorable! And while the pose is basic it’s certainly nice.

But then… there’s her face. It looks nothing like the Shunya Yamashita illustration, which I find a bit baffling since the Comic Bishoujo line has been getting closer and closer to his style. Even he earlier Tekken girls like Asuka (review) and Christie (review) looked much closer to their illustrations too. So what went wrong with Lili? I honestly think it’s the big, clunky bangs: she’d look much better if they were thinned out and less poofy. Sigh. Well, she’ll be out in May!

[via Kotobukiya's Facebook]
