Following up the Wind Waker Nendoroid of her will be a Twilight Princess version in figma form that looks awesome! I love the amount of detail they packed into such a tiny form here. But we can’t forget about the hero himself, Link too! He’ll be joining Zelda also in his Twilight Princess outfit, which looks great compared to the older Skyward Sword one and really shows off just how far figmas have come. Last, but not least, is a Nendoroid of Link in his Breath of the Wild outfit that looks adorable in the art. It should be a great upcoming year for Zelda fans!

[via the Wonderful Hobby Life For You site]

Nendoroid Zelda Is Up For Order

Given that Good Smile Company is so female figure-centric, it’s kind of shocking that we got so many figures of Link before even a single Zelda. Two Nendoroids, three whole figmas, and a scaled figure for Link, and we’re just getting their first Nendoroid Zelda! On the whole he’s still masterfully detailed and looks great, but he’s just missing that extra oomph to take him over the top. Now just actually give everyone what they want: a really badass statue of adult Link’s jumping pose from Ocarina of Time.

NYCC 2015: Good Smile Company’s Link Gallery

Like the figma before it, we also saw this Link twice so far, but whereas the figma is from A Link Between Worlds, this scaled figure is from Skyward Sword aka: “that Zelda game you bought for that cool looking gold Wiimote and never actually played because the Wii’s plug had been pulled like a year prior” or “that Zelda game you bought and hated because it was severely scaled back”. Dark Horse, publisher of the Hyrule Historia, apparently has the Legend of Zelda license for more than just books as they’re putting out two statues this summer: Link and Gannondorf from Twilight Princess! Both will debut in July of this year with Link standing in at 10″ and Gannondorf at 12″.

I really like the gritty nature of these both and coupled with their low price point of $79.99 for Link and $124.99 for Gannondorf, these are much more affordable than the First4Figures offerings, and, also much higher quality it appears. I’ll have to keep my eye on these until they’re released since these look like a pretty promising pair!

I’m a bit surprised that they went with Luigi before Mario, but considering it’s the year of Luigi and Nintendo is putting more emphasis on the green-guy-no-one-really-gives-a-damn-about than even Metroid (who just had its 25th anniversary, but Nintendo doesn’t want to acknowledge that at all), it’s not really a surprise.

Link here has me pretty excited though as I adore Link and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is one of my all time favorite games.
