For a while now we here at Plastikitty have been squirreling away contest prizes, building up a decent stock so we can get some contests started! Because who doesn’t love free stuff? Of course our Community Manager Chris over at the Plastikitty tumblr has beat us to it and he’s now starting up a contest for some adorable Tiger & Bunny Half Age Characters. So how do you enter? Check out the instructions (and the prizes!) after the jump!

Welcome to another month of scans! We’ve got tons of awesome this time, including FIVE boys! No joke, five of ‘em. Oh, and some ladies as well of course. Lolis, busty demons, kick-ass steak eaters, and graceful penguin commanders. And, of course, the necessary NSFW girls and bikini babes. Check them all out after the jump!

Another day, another exclusive Tiger & Bunny release from Bandai. First there was that crazy Birthday Set, and now… cake! No, that is not a joke, this is legitimately a figure that comes with cake. We’ve seen Bandai do this in the past, though usually with the Evangelion cast. This time it’s Kaburagi T. Kotetsu in his ‘Patissier’ version, aka he’s totally baking you up a hot cake full of love.
This set of a 5.5″ figure and, well, cake, will retail for ¥3,800 with a February release. Given the big ‘Valentine’s Day’ slapped on the cake, we can presume a mid-February release so if you live in Japan it’ll be right on time to give to your sweetheart! If you live anywhere else, though, you’ll have to deal with proxy fees, a late arrival, and stale cake. Sounds like fun! They’ll also be doing a matching Barnaby with a March release.

Bandai knows by now that they can milk their fans for a whole lot of money. They make seemingly half of their items exclusives, and a good chunk of the ones that go up in regular stores end up hyper-limited. Especially when it comes to Tiger & Bunny! Now, though, they’re pushing fan loyalty a bit far with an exclusive bundle of five figures in the ‘Barnaby Birthday Set.’ Yes, five. On the larger end of things we’ve got the Figuarts ZERO Kotetsu T. Kaburagi ‘Eyepatch Version’ and the S.H.Figuarts Prototype Suit. Then there’s the child version Chibi-Arts of Barnaby himself, which we saw at Tamashii Nations.
Last and, yeah, kind of least are Deformeister Petits of Kotetsu and Barnaby. All this for the low low price of ¥12000! Oh, and it’s limited to Amazon Japan, which doesn’t ship figures internationally so yes, you are going to need a proxy. The life of a Tiger & Bunny fan is suffering!

We’ve already taken a look at some of the highlights of Tamashii Nations, but there’s of course a lot more at the event! Their Chibi-Arts line seems to be growing in popularity, and we’ve already seen the Sailor Moon one they had on hand. Also on display were the teased Ja’far and Sinbad ones from Magi, Wild Tiger and child Barnaby Brooks Jr. from Tiger & Bunny, Meer Campbell, Boa Hancock, Mei Misaki, and Kise Yayoi to go with Cure Peace. I am excited to see Meer in the lineup, though at the moment she looks a bit…. possessed.

Bluefin, Bandai’s North America distributor, attends pretty much every major convention with lots of goodies in tow! For New York Comic Con they had many D-Arts and Figuarts ZERO on display from their most popular licenses like Persona 4, Tiger & Bunny, and One Piece along with some of their very large Star Wars figures and more. It was great to see some of these in person before they hit shelves, especially Izanagi-no-Okami who I have been really looking forward to! Check them all out in the gallery.

MegaHouse is at it again with another dose of super-limited figure orders! First up we’ve got the G.E.M of Barnaby Brooks Jr. from Tiger & Bunny to go along with Kotetsu. Then there’s the ‘Sailing Again’ version of Perona, who we saw painted at Wonder Festival. I like this a lot more than the first version of her, but those eyes still terrify me! They will both be going up October 10th at 18:00 JST, so be sure to stay up late if you want one of these two for a reasonable price. I’ve participated in a few P.O.P-wars before, and it’s always a bit of a fun challenge. However, I think I am going to sit it out this time–while I got Kotetsu, Barnaby just doesn’t have the same charm for me.

Figures shown off at a prize fair usually go up for order shortly after the event, but companies seem to really be rushing to orders this time! The 29th Prize Fair was only a few days ago, but we’re already getting tons of figures from it (and also Wonder Festival) up for order! There’s Taito’s amazing Aegis & Izanagi, the SAO gang, Tiger & Bunny, Fate/Zero, Working!!, a totally gorgeous Kuroyukihime, and of course tons more. Orders are currently up only at Big In Japan, and like usual some of the big-name characters like Soniko have already flown off the shelves [EDIT: the Soniko set is back in stock!). BIJ usually has small stock, so these are all likely to pop up elsewhere–especially Otacute and HLJ! We’ll update as soon as more orders become available.

Remember those Sword Art Online figures (from only a few hours ago)? Well, it turns out they are part of the most recent prize fair! As usual all the companies brought out their figure goodies, and as usual the franchises are pretty predictable. Evangelion, K-On!, Gintama, One Piece, Macross Frontier, Little Busters, Boku wa Tomodachi, Code Geass, and a newer show called Robotics;Notes (which is also getting Nendoroids, so I guess these girls are pretty popular!). The biggest excitement for me is the next set of figures in FuRyu’s Shin Megami Tensei line. This time we’re getting Black Frost to go with their released Jack Frost, but that’s not all: the much beloved Mothman is joining, along with Mokoi. Finally, a Mothman!
Of course there’s more in the gallery from Monster Hunter, Madoka, Tiger & Bunny, Fate/Zero, and more!

And now, time for the boys! The lone Aquarion Evol boy, Kagura, was on hand and painted. We’ve also got the Blue Exorcist (Aoi no Exorcist) G.E.M duo of Rin and Yukio Okumura. Rin is looking great, plus he has a little cat buddy! They finally showed off their teased Barnaby Brooks Jr. as well, though their super-limited nature makes me a bit hesitant to hop on board. Then there are the P.O.Ps, all of which we actually saw unpainted at MegaHobby. There’s Eustass Kid, Killer, and a chubby little Chopper. Last but not least is the unfinished sculpt of Gintama as a kid–how cute!
