First there was that crazy Birthday Set, and now… cake! No, that is not a joke, this is legitimately a figure that comes with cake. We’ve seen Bandai do this in the past, though usually with the Evangelion cast. This time it’s Kaburagi T. Kotetsu in his ‘Patissier’ version, aka he’s totally baking you up a hot cake full of love.

This set of a 5.5″ figure and, well, cake, will retail for ¥3,800 with a February release. Given the big ‘Valentine’s Day’ slapped on the cake, we can presume a mid-February release so if you live in Japan it’ll be right on time to give to your sweetheart! If you live anywhere else, though, you’ll have to deal with proxy fees, a late arrival, and stale cake. Sounds like fun! They’ll also be doing a matching Barnaby with a March release.

[via Bandai]

They make seemingly half of their items exclusives, and a good chunk of the ones that go up in regular stores end up hyper-limited. Especially when it comes to Tiger & Bunny! Now, though, they’re pushing fan loyalty a bit far with an exclusive bundle of five figures in the ‘Barnaby Birthday Set.’ Yes, five. On the larger end of things we’ve got the Figuarts ZERO Kotetsu T. Kaburagi ‘Eyepatch Version’ and the S.H.Figuarts Prototype Suit. I like this a lot more than the first version of her, but those eyes still terrify me! They will both be going up October 10th at 18:00 JST, so be sure to stay up late if you want one of these two for a reasonable price. I’ve participated in a few P.O.P-wars before, and it’s always a bit of a fun challenge.
