A while back, Griffon teased a bunch of new Touhou Project figures. One of them was a 1/8 scale Cirno, who we saw unpainted recently. She looked freaking adorable without paint, and thankfully the colored version does not disappoint! The use of clear PVC in her wings and crystals is great, and I like the mix of crystal-clear for her wings and foggy for the gem. The color palette is lovely, and it gives her a nice icy feel. Plus, it’s a Griffon Touhou figure with an interesting pose! Actually, that’s not really a huge deal anymore, but sometimes I get stuck in the mentality of “all their Touhou girls are just standing there.”
Her face too is different from the normal Griffon girl. She’s quite expressive, and looks a bit mischevious! Cirno should be going up for pre-order soon, and I can’t wait to put her on my order list! I’ve wanted a figure of Cirno for a long time but I’ve passed on quite a few because they just weren’t quite right for me. Finally, an ice fairy I love!
