Touken Ranbu Archive

  • Orange Rouge, aka Touken Ranbu: The Company, has a lot of… wait for it… Touken Ranbu figures at Wonder Festival this year! So many. And their names are so long. So let’s start with the non-TR boys. Like their stunning Aoba! What a beauty. They also announced Yuri on Ice Nendoroids of coach version Victor and a wintry Yuri. We’ve got Nendo Tatara Fujita from Welcome to Ballroom, Banri Sttsu from A3!, and 3 Fate/Grand Order boys. As for Touken Ranbu, we have scales of Izuminokami Kanesada, Juzumaru Tsunetsugu (who is also getting a Nendo), Higekiri (+ Nendo), Ichigo Hitohuri, and Imanotsurugi. We also have Nendoroids for Uguisumaru,  Nikkari Aoe, Hizamaru, Taikogane Sadamune, and Kasen Kanesada, along with a super cute Petit Nendoroid set with a ton of the boys in it. [via whl4u]

  • For some reason, I always associate Good Smile Company with the most hype teasers. It’s probably because there are so dang many, and we always get one or two no one can identify until the actual event happens. It’s like a game! And this year is no exception, we have quite a few teasers on our hands. First, the new Nendoroids: they teased a Guardian from Breath of the Wild, a new Kongou from KanColle, Hifumi Takimoto from New Game!, and Kukuri from Mahoujin Guru Guru. Ai-chan from Getsuyoubi no Tawawa is painted, and Juzumaru Tsunetsugu from Touken Ranbu is sculpted. As for the scaled figures, Arisa from Shadowverse is painted as is Izuminokami Kanesada from Touken Ranbu. Then we have sculpt teasers for birthday Rem! They also announced a Nendoroid of Astolfo from Fate/Apocrypha. Who is the mystery dress girl, though? Hard to tell from the edge of a skirt! [via Kahotan]

  • It’s that time again! Wonder Festival is only 2 days away, so we’re bringing you our annual roundup of some of the best garage kits that will be at the event. Because, as you probably know, Wonder Festival has way more gks than PVC figures but we can’t get our greedy little paws on them. Plus, if we did, we can’t paint. But, as always, if you can paint/will be at the event, all images are labeled with both the circle & character name. The tides seem to be changing this WonFest. There’s very little of our usual standards, like Miku Hatsune or KanColle, and the new darling Re;Zero seems to have already fallen off. Instead we have a TON of Fate girls (both Grand Order and Extella), quite a bit of Persona 5 merchandise, and some truly stunning original characters. And more Adventure Time! Check them all out after the jump. [via i_con, horikazz, crea mode, amie grand, Akiba Weekend, moeyo, vispo, wonder showcase, mfc]

  • Wonder Festival is over a week away, but already we are getting teasers! Earlier every year, I tell you. This time Kotobukiya is first up to bat with quite a few updates & new figures… and they always have 2 teasers, so there are more where this came from. First up is the sculpt for their Pokemon Sun & Moon Lillie, along with the announcement that they will be doing Moon as well! We also have a new sculpt for Nono Morikubo from Cinderella Girls, and a new Captain America. They also teased the sculpts for Shokudaikiri Mitsutada from Touken Ranbu and Yang Wen-li from Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu. [via Kotobukiya]

  • Kalmia Project is one of those strange, brand-new NSFW companies that Native is suddenly distributing. They all seem to have Native-like quality, no? And Native themselves are distributed by GSC. It’s a confusing world of naked figures. Kalmia might be new to the scene, but they showed some awesome stuff off at Wonder Festival. They only had 3 sculpts out, but the White Elf in particular is quite impressive. There’s also a bunny girl illustrated by Ogin Bara and a demon girl illustrated by Houtengeki. And of course we have to have a few art announcements! Check ’em out in the gallery below. [via Kalmia’s Twitter]

  • Do you like Touken Ranbu? There are like 500 characters in it and I think Orange Rouge plans on making them all. They had Urashima Kotetsu, Mikazuki Munechika Awakened Ver., Nikkari Aoe, Heshikiri Hasebe, and Hizamaru sculpted. Along with announcements for Izuminokami Kanesada, Juzumaru Tsunetsugu, Ichigo Hitofuri, Yamanbagiri Kunihiro, Hachisuka Kotetsu, and Horikawa Kunihiro. Don’t like Touken Ranbu? Well, we’ve got… like 2 things for you, but they’re pretty amazing. There’s a figure of all the Osomatsu brothers, and an announcement for a wickedly suave Aoba Seragaki from DRAMAtical Murder. • It’s that time again! Time to look at a few of the garage kits that will be on display and for sale at Wonder Festival. Of course for most of us this is just to drool over, but as always if you are attending the event each picture is labeled with the circle & character name! Also, I am insanely jealous of you. The trends this year are basically what you would expect. Tons of Re:Zero (and by that I mean tons of Rem & Ram, who cares about the other characters!), idol shows out in force, and quite a bit of Granblue Fantasy. Some old trends seem to be dying (there’s very little of Miku & Sonico compared to previous years). And, surprisingly, Cartoon Network is represented quite a bit. Check them all out in the gallery below, and let us know what you’d like to see as PVC! [via Grizzry Panda, mokupate, Volks, Kotopora, Primal Heart, fixia, Anadigi, Tinami]

  • Max Factory plays it a bit more coy than their sister company GSC. Sure, some of their teasers are clear and concise, but they also give us near-unidentifiable pixellated blogs. What a tease! This year there’s a good mix. Some are so obvious: figmas Gwendolyn, the Hunter from Bloodbourne, Crow from Gravity Daze 2, Yukari from Girls und Panzer, scales of Murakumo from KanColle and Urashima Kotetsu from Touken Ranbu. But what about the blobs? Well, one set is clearly Rem & Ram (scaled, it appears!), and another is… a big ‘ol mess of I don’t know. Any ideas? We also know that they will have a figma of Leonard Watch on display! [via the figma blog]

Every year they show us so many new goodies that I think there’s no way any surprises will be left for the event… and every year I’m wrong. Like usual, we have a mix of scaled teasers and Nendo teasers. Vira from Granblue Fantasy is painted, along with Hasabe Heshikiri from Touken Ranbu. It seems like Atilla from Fate/Grand Order is too! And the Girls und Panzer Nendo Petit line is ready for action. There’s a new Miku (wow surprise!), Fate/Grand Order petits, Warspite Nendo from KanColle, Kagari Atsuko from Little Witch Academia, and more. Check ’em all out in the gallery! Who is the interesting sitting figure, I wonder? [via Kahotan]
