They always have a ton of recolors no matter what the event, and this time its Touhou Kouroumu 8, a doujin event that will take place on October 7th. Most of these are not new: we saw them at Aka no Hiroba 8 and Wonder Festival. However, we do have two new colorways: one of their version 2 Komachi Onozuka, and a red version of their Gungir Remilia Scarlett. We’ve also got Marisa, Reimu, Suika, Yuyuko, and many many more. If you’re hitting up the event you’ll have a ton of options! If not, expect these to pop up on the after-market quite soon (and for not much of a price bump!).

[via Griffon]

Griffon Shows Off Their Exclusives For Touhou Kouroumu 8

Of course it’s always recolors, but some of them are quite cool! For Aka no Hiroba 8 they’ve got quite a few lined up, though only two are “new.” We’ve got a 3rd colorway of their Curiosities of Lotus Asia Remilia and a FOURTH version of their Aya Shameimaru (though the clear one is still my favorite).

Everything else we’ve seen before: they’ve got quite a few of their Wonder Festival colors along with that weird Christmas Flandre. Each of them is very limited, around 30 pieces a pop, but thankfully Griffon does tend to bring back their recolors a LOT. Aka no Hiroba will take place on September 9th if you happen to be in Japan and want to pick one of these ladies up!

[via Griffon]

Last week was Golden Week, and it was so barren that there weren’t enough figures to scrape together for a roundup. To make up for it this week is a doozy, packed to the brim with pretty ladies. There’s some game-related beauties, a few long-awaited releases, several (themed!) re-releases, our usual dose of Nendoroids and figmas, and a figure so bad it looks like it time-traveled from 2004. So hit the jump to check them out!

So of course when Toyosatomimi no Miko popped up completed at Treasure Festa, it was a clear sign that we’d be getting a chance to own her soon! I’ve been skipping out on a lot of their newer characters in this line as they just don’t appeal to me enough, but Miko is definitely an exception–I love pretty much everything about her! I’d dislike the boring pose if it was another company, but with Griffon two feet on the ground = no need for the ugly bases.

Her color palette is what stands out the most to me: you usually don’t see so much cream used on figures! Oh and of course the big fluffy ears and the cool weaponry. She should be going up for order tonight, and like every Touhou figure she’s an exclusive but will be available on AmiAmi.

[via Griffon's Touhou Blog]

Most notable is Griffon, who likes to unveil new Touhou Project gals at this event. This year was no exception, and they had a surprising amount of new info, but let’s start first with the stuff we know about! There’s their Aya Shameimaru: while I wasn’t won over when we first saw her sculpted, the refinements they’ve done are very nice and she does look rather adorable. Then there’s the new Yuyuko, the Dragon Chronicles Harumi, and Hideyoshi Kinoshita who is still in the sculpted stage.

As for new stuff, they are getting to the new Touhou announcements from Wonder Festival: Toyosatomimi no Miko has been completed, and she looks amazing! Those ears are just magnificent. They also had a few brand-new announcements on hand: Mei Misaka from Another, Ichika Takatsuki from Ano Natsu de Matteru, and Yuuki Asuna from Sword Art Online. There was a garage kit of Yuuki Asuna at Treasure Festa as well in a very similar pose!

[via moeyo]
